Former Zip Player/Coaches On The Move
Balki Bartokomous replied to GP1's topic in Akron Zips Football
That extra 30,000 more K ent's coach makes goes to funding a team of people for a suicide watch. It is the only way the insurance company would give K ent a policy. With a bad as K ent is at football, im sure there is a bottle of JD, some pills and a hand gun in his office desk. just like the warden from Shawshank Redemption. -
Maybe Akron will move to the PAC-10. and maybe monkeys will fly out of my ass. Why don't we worry about repeating in the MAC before we start sizing up BCS bowl rings.
-
Thank god GoZips approves of this. I can speak for everyone when I say, we were all worried what GoZips would have to say.

Ex-Baseball Player to Walk on @ Akron
Balki Bartokomous replied to Captain Kangaroo's topic in Akron Zips Football Recruiting
Maybe once he realizes he has no shot of ever playing QB for Akron, he'll go help Bangtson out. -
the only class can't has is a remedial one called "How to let people know you're from K ent. A in-depth look at begging for change on the side of the road while protesting wars and picking fights with the National Guard."
-
Thats a good one. If it made any sense it would be even better. Go back to your coal mine.

Frye is the Man in Cleveland now!!!
Balki Bartokomous replied to Ryno aka Menace's topic in Akron Zips Football
I'd say something, but i'm sure it will just be erased because it isn't "PC"i had better go grab my bible and bake some brownies cause i'm pure evil. -
That doesn't read so much as "Frye actually does suck." but as "I work for a shitty paper and my career is going no where. Perhaps I'll start taking the opposite opinion of everyone else. yeah that will get me noticed. Then I'll be on around the horn and people will take me super cereal. Story one: Charlie Frye sucks. Story two: Grady Sizemore is gay. Story three: Lebron James is OVERRATED. oh man, pulitzer, here I come." what a douchebag. I'm sure he thinks he is the Terry Pluto of Salem.and GP1, im sure if you are nice to the ass who wrote that, he'll let you spoon with him after you are done jerking off to another Hines Ward highlight reel.

"Oft-injured Zip" to Transfer
Balki Bartokomous replied to Captain Kangaroo's topic in Akron Zips Football
unfounded rumors on zipsnation? thats unpossible. as a side note, JD is leaving Akron to start a rodeo school for blind midgets. -
Why don't they just make enough bowl games so that every team can be in one? The NCAA is so obsessed with making money, they are taking the thrill of finally making it to a bowl game and wiping their asses with it.

McNees verbals to Akron?
Balki Bartokomous replied to Buckzip's topic in Akron Zips Basketball Recruiting
He is a white kid with blond hair. They all look the same. -
Both players were at todays game. It seems they both escaped with only mild concusions.

I don't know if anyone was at the baseball game today, but it seems that in the 9th inning, SS Ryne Romick and LF Brett Savage were seriously hurt and had to leave via ambulance. They were both running after a pop fly and decided to dive at the same time, smacking head on with one another. Savage appeared unconscious and Romick was bleeding profusely. I don't have any updates on their conditions, but after talking to a few people who have been around college baseball for a long time, they each said that it might have been the worst player on player collision they have ever seen. Hopefully they will both be alright.

Perhaps Dambrot should look into making him a Center. At 6'9" 340, he would make kents 7 footer, his bitch.

Using that philosophy, how come Akron dropped the ball last year at Purdue? They sucked big time! Because, Akron sucked ass to start last year. Go back to dreaming about your glory days of beating a crappy Penn State team. Akron looks to the future, school like Toledo and Ohio live in the past. -

Penn State sucked ass in 2000.I love these MAC teams who beat a big school when they are a bad team. Ohio beat UNC in basketball, Toledo beat Penn State in football. Play those teams when they are good and see what happens.Akron beats this years Penn State team.Akron>Toledo -

Getsy has a knack for having big yard games when he needs them. the 06 Zips are light years ahead of the 04 team. Sorry Charlie Frye, but look for Getsy to break most of your records this year. The Penn State D will be tough. Paul Posluszny is an amazing player, but lets not forget he finished last year by tearing ligaments in his knee. He won't be in mid season form, just like the rest of the players. I think Getsy will light up Penn States secondary. I think the second half of the Motor City Bowl showed Getsy that he can make the pass over the middle, and he has more targets than just the number 1 wide reciever. The Zips will shock the nation. -
Its not like Can't is going to fall of the face of the earth next year. They will be good, but not NCAA tournament good, or even NIT good. Akron will win at least 26 games next year. shit, we go on a tournament run, 30 wins.

Penn State will look past the Akron game. For the first time in ohh, 290 years, Getsy and co have some serious experience in high pressure games. Don't be suprised if Akron pulls off the upset of the century.Akron: 38Penn State: 31 -

Akron just needs to hire a complete a-hole to coach the women. That way when they lose a 100 games in the next 4 years, no one will feel bad when they are fired.
