  1. Bad decision. They'll change in 2010 when at the end of the 09 season attendance is even lower than it was the final 2 seasons at the RB.nm
  2. What happened to the GVH discussion?
  3. I'm a little late to the topic, sorry guys.................and thin on participation lately. "If you have nothing to say (or add) don't say it" is my motto :-)UAM can and will do better than our job. He would be stepping backwards to bite on it..............he's destined for bigger and better already.IMHO
  4. Oh, very sad. Wow.For 5 years of road games I can't recall her missing any of them. She was The #1 organizer responsible for bringing together alum at our away games. On top of it all, a wonderful, wonderful person.I'm saddened greatly.RIP
  5. Thanks Doc.................from afar
  6. GP.................That was a really well developed and interesting observation of the Bowl/Playoff issue...........thanks for taking the time to post it here.
  7. We're coming into the time zone for the Brookhart tenure where lots of coaches "flatten out" and lose enthusiasm for the job.............and it tells. My intuition tells me this is not the case for JD however................the new stadium, the return of a solid offense, the outpouring of community support for the 09 season (based mostly uponthe new facilities).............all these things will fire him and his staff up and result in a great season (I hope).Just a gut feel..............
  8. 2 more over here, with a jug of Auntie Barb's Apple Pie all the way from Tinley Park Illinois to drop off at CK's gate
  9. An increasingly infrequent spin out of Z-P.............sorry to report.Charlie's schtick at UA was scrambling and throwing on the run. When successful (like at Wisconsin for example) he made broken routes and an overly committed pass rush (because of our paper thin O-Line in those days) pay with his ability to throw in motion. You can't do that at the NFL level..................so he never did get to utilize his strength. Now he's a little older, a little slower, and has been killed so many times he's gunshy.I think he should have his sights set on coming back to NE Ohio, starting a family, teaching or starting a small business, and coach...............his love of the game and leadership skills will take him far in whatever direction he chooses.Having said that however, I'll still wear my Seattle jersey #5 on Sunday and follow him on the game tracker hoping for a miracle.

    Hi UAM

  12. Nuthin's ever easy for a player coming from a MAC program..............GOOD LUCK to Andy!
  13. Have a great time CK and bring us back a "W" this time! Tailgating at CR was a "Top 10" for sure...............hope it's the same this year as back a few when we littered their parking lots :-)

    Frye

I think Chuck's whole future centers around his MNF appearance vs San Diego next Monday. I have a bad feeling he'll be teaching and coaching in HS next year. Hope I'm wrong, but it is what it is as they say.
  15. As far as almost winning the last time in Badgerland, every team that loses a close game thinks they were cheated somewhere along the way. Excuses are one of the main ingredients in keeping a loser a loser.Hey GP..............Doc's right about the last visit to Madison. PBS of Madison telecast the game back to Milwaukee where I had it recorded and still have a copy. It's on tape. We went in for a score but were denied.....................only because it was close enough to "fudge it" and the Big Ten Refs working the game had chocolate noses from being around that big a-hole Barry Alvarez who ran the Big Ten at that time. The play after that shockingly bad call Sorgi hit Evans for the longest passing score in Badger history.................they gave it 99 1/2 yards at the time.............what does that tell you? Right call, no score on the next play, 14 point swing.Anthony Davis ran all over us that day and the next week he was injured in the first offensive series against UNLV...........and UNLV went on to upset the Badgers. Check it out. Can't disagree with what you said about excuses, and everyone thinking they get cheated, but this mutha was a special case. I will NEVER forget it. Ask CK, he'll tell you the same thing.BTW.................Charles was amazing that hot summer day. He still almost brought the Zips back after all that.
  16. Good for a lunch time laugh..........took my mind off the economy for a couple stange minutes, thanks
  17. Good get C...........
  18. Ditto to Zipsrifle..............
  19. Some of these posts really touch me.If you look way back to the 70's say...............was there a moment in time where UA could have pushed up to be big time and just missed the opportunity? I mean in your opinions. It sounds like the pulse was much stronger way back then,
  20. I'm more newbie than most of you catz.............Bad..........Army, hands down.Good..............the Byron Leftwich injury game.
  21. Bad linkie CK, can you fix it up?
  22. Meyers to Wayne State to get "tuned up" with PW who's due back at UA after next season as new HC
  23. She's worth the time in front of ABC tonite BTW
  24. No UA pub.............probably never will be..............too bad.I think there is a second session tonight if you want to see what he's got...............evidently I'm the only pervert who watches the show Stop by tonight and see what he's got! He may even be able to win it all!
  25. Any of you guys catch J Taylor last night on Dancing With The Stars? He was DAMN good! He got the highest score up to that point in time.Shake it up JT!
