A few weeks back guys ripped the Department of Development (Gary Bogue) for the chow in the lounge.Well..............it's time to flip the coin.Last night I had (it's a secret but take a guess at how many ) the best Bratwurst Sandwich(s) I have ever eaten! And I've had my share growing up with most of my relatives living in Milwaukee.The game before, he served a GIANT Hamburger which was right up there with the all time best too..............So PROPS to Gary for hearing the board and fixing the problem.On the topic of another thread, the guy sitting next to me had a Bux sweatshirt on. Zipwatcher was trying to get me to spill my Diet Pepsi on it so he'd take it off, but when I worked up enough courage to fulfill ZW's dream come true, I looked the slug in the eye and couldn't pull the trigger. He was just an old guy who someone gave a ticket to..........he asked his wife Maud what he should wear to the game and she probably told him "someting sports sweetie" or something like that.............and he pulled out the red sweatie they bought him for Christmas at Sams, and threw it on. How can you crack on that?But I do like the Cap'ns idea.....................did you hear it Gary!!!!!!!

Generally agree with the posts...........ZipWatcher told me at the half Miami would "poop out" with 10 minutes left because they only play 5-7 guys................but it didn't happen :blink: That scared me.What's with Nates "spin passes" ? Gawd...........quit that shit already man. Game changing plays...............in the Nevada game it was Rome getting hacked going for the hole...........that turned the game around. Last night it could have been (but it wasn't fortunately) the phantom elbow Nick gave #1. Nick never touched the guy. We were sitting 12 feet from the play..............didn't even hit the guy with the breeze off his arm...........honest. That crappy call resulted in a 4 point swing at a very critical point in the game, and started Miami off on a 6 or 8 point run if my memory is correct. Glad we don't have to sweat too much about that awful call!Someone above mentioned minutes and player combos..............I think KD was searching the whole game for the proper combo of guys on the floor, and finally decided with only a few minutes remaining to go with a hard 3 guard offense.............good thing he did.Last point.............anyone else notice this last night? The officials constantly ate their whistles and looked at each other to make calls..........result? Nobody made any calls. Good news was they were at lease semi-consistent with their weakass performances.

I guess this means they averaged 310,500 at games in the Horseshoe, right?

We are blessed to have such strong young people coming up...........makes me wonder, how many other folks within a few "degrees" do we know over there?Regardless, please join in with your kharma for the Dude and his family!

Couple points:JD is a rookie HC. He has now tasted the good, the bad and the real bad. I'm betting he didn't like the later two, and will coach his ass off not to have any more of those. Give him a chance.He deserves, at the least, to have the chance to coach a full roster of his guys.I think he (and his original staff) got famous before he got good. I think now we will see him get good, real good............just my take.I like him. We're lucky to have a guy of his stature, experience and ability. Just now he's learning his trade............let's give it some time to blossom.That said however, no more fuds please..........we've seen enough of them to fill a lifetime (and not just his either)

Side note to CK's rant.............I've been waiting 6 years to see Senior talent step up and take the team to the next level.................Johnny Hollingsworth, Andy, Mr. T, what's his name from Jackson, and others...............never seems to happen.Rome's play so far (what I know of it which admittidly isn't too much) has been reminiscent of those other cats.........when a guy gets to his final year he's regressed.I hope I'm wrong about Rome and Dru and they show up in conference.......nm

OK ZW..............glad you weighed in.All we're saying is this..............we're in a free market sports economy in the USA. There are lots of products competing for peoples attention and devotion.Want support? Do something to earn it. Then do it again, and again, and again. You'll get the support.The MCB drew from the community because JD had very recently accomplished just that. People could reconnect. I doubt noise on the board did much. UAM's free ride did..................but people had already committed mentaly to the fact that they were going to take the trip. A ticket and a ride is nothing compared to the time requirement the day after Christmas for most folks.My opinions.............We love KD, but...............we just think he's whinning a little bit when he shouldn't. He doesn't need to.............it's coming, just keep choppin the wood.And yes, I was really disappointed also by the weak showing in the stands Friday night. I can see why there would be empty seats for Tiffin and St Whatever, but Nevada??? Just among us sluggies, I'm standing by my 1K at KO and 2K max overall.

Actual attendance was no more than 2,000. At kickoff, there were only 1,000 in the seats excluding the band. Trust me on this.And yes, I'm sorry to report it................I sat by a recruit and was all over him to ignore the attendance.........I really built up the program, and I'm positive he and his coaches were satisfied and enthusiastic about UA with what I told them..............See..............this is the unreported downside of a BS schedule and underperformance.
