  1. I've seen him in a couple of the photos posted by ZipsMbb. He must be taking summer courses & can't make all the workouts? I also noticed Camron Reese was not in a couple of the pictures, which really concerned me, but he's been in the last few (back row, 3rd from left).
  2. I can't carry a lengthy conversation concerning the 3-4, but I'd think Ward & Meeks are big enough to be every-down DE's. Josh Ward: 6-2, 225 Dylan Meeks: 6-2, 240 Michael Scott, listed at LB, is also big enough to play DE (6-3, 235). Sampson may be relegated to a 3rd down pass rush specialist at 6-2, 210 (Justin was an extremely good high school WR & that's where I thought he'd play at UA.) I like the beef we now have at DT Davon'te Jest: 6-1, 300 Logan Hawkins, 6-2, 295 Andy Jean-Baptiste: 6-5, 275 & JUCO newcomer John Mitchell: 6-3, 300
  3. True Freshman Ali Ali (2nd from right) certainly passes the eyeball test. He looks to be a legit 6'8".
  4. Spot on. Anymore he definitely fancies himself as more of an expert (I use the term loosely) commentator/analyst as opposed to a journalist. I don't think many other people do. Not waiting with baited breath for his annual "Little Engine that Tries" Akron Zips column.
  5. ABJ/GT: Coach Tom Arth Faces Numerous Questions as Zips Prepare for New Season Pretty good conversation-starting article by GT.
  6. ABJ: Zips hope to get leadership production from Kato Nelson, Alvin Davis
  7. Nice! I didn't notice that. I'm taking your word for it & noted it on the edited Post #1.
  8. I’m on my phone so can’t post the tweet, but it looks like we’ve received another verbal commit & I’m pretty excited about this one. John Mitchell @BossMoneyy_ 6-3, 300, 3-star DT from Independence CC
  9. FWIW, the RB’s all went together as a unit to see The Lion King & he was with them.
  10. We are ridiculously stacked at WR.
  11. Maishe Dailey & Bryan Trimble must be paying for their own schooling this year, no? We would have known by now if anyone else was transferring out.
  12. 6-8, 245, PF, Overland HS, Aurora, CO.
  13. +1. Cooper looked like he could stand to lose a few lbs. Lol He was turning the ball over & hoisting shots from 30-feet. But unlike against the Zippers, he couldn't buy a bucket (today, nor yesterday).
  14. Did anyone else watch any of "The Basketball Tournament," on ESPN+? Rome, Dru, Wood & Harney were on the Mid-American Unity team. They won their first game against a team named Kohl Blooded (sp?) composed of mostly Wisconsin b-ball alumni. It was considered an upset (?) but they controlled the game. They lost the second game (by 2) to a team named Red Scare made up of mostly Dayton alumni. The Magnificent Mr. Cooper was also on team Mid-American Unity and he pretty much shot Mid-American Unity out of the game. He's definitely not the same Magnificent Mr. Cooper who still haunts my dreams. Lol. Anyway, it was pretty awesome just getting to watch Romeo, Dru & Jeremiah play ball again. Love those guys. Yeah, it was nice seeing Harney again too. Man, has any Zip ever had as much potential as Harney? That is, of course, both a compliment and a critique.
  15. That was not mentioned in the article.
  16. Michael Beaven/ABJ: North Royalton Senior Joey Marousek Commits to Play Quarterback at UA
  17. Nice article on Dru Joyce, Romeo Travis, and Jeremiah Wood still playing ball overseas.
  18. We've offered another JUCO SG. Vincent Cole, 6-6, SG, University of South Carolina Salkehatchie. Also offered by Buffalo.
  19. Idk, but I think our recruiting may be about done till later in the year. For what it's worth, I no longer find anything on twitter about visits or upcoming decisions.
  20. New offer. Jonathan Ned, 6-8, PF, Eastern Florida State College Also has an offer from UC Santa Barbara.
