  1. ABJ/Michael Beaven: East seniors Deearius Reese & Kyre Williams set sights on more postseason success before heading to University of Akron
  2. I'm on my phone so can't post the link, but DeAndre Brimage just tweeted that he's out for the year.
  3. Neeley (#57) looks like a stud.
  4. Thank God. Good grief.
  5. GoZips.com video recap You'll have to scroll down.
  6. Here's GT's article for the ABJ: Defense makes a stand in final scrimmage for Zips I was at the scrimmage but left around 10:00. By that point the offense only had a handful of positive plays. GT mentions in his article the snaps from center weren't consistent & that handicapped the offense against an already stout D. He mentions the injuries Captain did, but no new information.
  7. Where's Deng Riak?
  8. Saw that. Awesome! Basketball players weren't built like that 25 years ago.
  9. Agreed. Those are prestigious and important programs. Mathematics and Physics are staples of higher ed.
  10. Thanks, Captain. Judging by the resolve of his quotes, it doesn't sound like it. But if Shawn's on schedule to graduate, could he possibly get an additional year next season because he greyshirted his first year?
  11. No depth chart, but here is the updated roster.
  12. ABJ: Zips looking for bigger things out of their defensive linemen GT writes a good article & gets into the depth rotation of the DL.
  13. I'm on vacation. It'd be great if some updates and commentary were posted!!
  14. And we're still awaiting @Captain Kangaroo 's summary as well! I've got to get a life. Here I am on vacation at the beach & my primary concern is still reading about Zips football. Lol
  15. In the article (posted earlier - somewhere up there) where GT stated Ramart was the only Zips player who didn't look rusty, he also commented that Kato was right in the middle of an after-the-whistle skirmish.
  16. You're spot on, 'Meister. I included those players because they'll be taking 3 scholarships that weren't given out last year & could have potentially gone to incoming high school seniors. But those three players certainly won't be included in the Signing Day press release in February (or whenever they do that now). So my post is definitely off. I'll correct it. Thanks!
  17. Yeah, that was him.
  18. Thank you, Dr. Z. It's nice to have a legit competition at QB. It'll be good for Kato, though I anticipate Ramart being our QB of the future, even if it's not this season. I'm glad to hear you say Jordyn Riley stuck out to you. His highlight film (I know, I know) stuck out to m we as well. He's shifty with smooth hip movement, has long arms and can jump out of the gym.
  19. I wasn't the least bit surprised to hear what GT wrote about Kato & Ramart after the 1st scrimmage. I think Ramart's the QB of the future, I just don't think you start a freshman in game #1. But I wouldn't be surprised if by MAC play Ramart is the starter w/ Kato subbing in to change things up (with his running) once in a while.
  20. Wish I were in town :/
  21. Nice. Hopefully they keep splitting reps evenly till the week of the game.
  22. Just updated Post #1 to include Walter Brady & Cameron Lyons.
  23. ABJ: Talented senior cornerback Kyron Brown a team leader for Zips “You can take more chances with your front knowing they can cover better, they can cover longer, they can do different things,” Bowden said of having a strong defensive backfield. “So I think you can rely on them to allow you to be more effective up front by blitzing, taking some risk up there.”
  24. Thanks! Unfortunately I'll be out of town this Saturday. Do you know if there is a scrimmage scheduled for the 18th? (And, if so, what time?)
  25. Any insiders know if there will be any scrimmages open to the public?
