It's truly just a cultural difference. UA hasn't developed much of a culture where students naturally attend games. Don't ask me why or how one would go about doing this. Home games against name non-conference opponents and occasional Sweet 16 runs would probably do the trick.

I'm as big an Akron/UA/LeBron fan as anyone. However, LBJ doesn't have that kind of money. It needs to be a company sponsorship. LBJ may be able to afford naming rights for the court, but not an arena. My heart sank a little bit when I heard of FirstEnergy paying for the Cleveland Brown's Stadium naming rights. They were my best bet for a big endorsement.

3,800 seats? That just can't possibly be accurate. Can it? I'm absolutely shocked. And extremely disappointed.

This is truly awful and not entertaining in the least. About 3 minutes left in the game and EMU is up on CMU 45-35. Horrible.

Actually, I would! But I'm definitely showing early for a LeBron bobblehead. The chance that the world's most famous athlete happens to be an Akronite and a supporter of the Zips is one-in-a-billion. We'd be complete fools not to take every advantage of that.

Will he have 2 or 3 years to play? Will he redshirt next year (AA's senior season) since we'll already have AA & Melo @ the 1?

And that 6'9" power forward - Kwan Cheatham - is a "stretch-4." From what I've read he's got a really nice stroke from 3. And he just recently turned 17, so he's very young for his class - huge upside. (We may redshirt him & let him mature physically for another year?)

The lack of information on last year's non-qualifiers (if that's even what they were) is puzzling. All the more so due to the fact that just a couple of days ago I emailed GT asking if he could write an article on KD's incoming b-ball recruits, and just a few days later we were given a full-length, in-depth article on all four. In an earlier email to GT, I requested information on these guys, and a number of ZNO members have been wondering about our football recruits for months now. But no information. Is TB being tight-lipped about the status of these players? Why does it seem so difficult to get information on the guys we all thought signed LOI's last February?
