  1. How much taller will he be? Do you have any projections for height and weight gains between his high school senior year and college freshman year yet? Most high school boys do. Especially if they spend time in the weight room.
  2. http://www.ncaa.com/video/basketball-men/2...outhwest-region Awesome! Thank you!
  3. Ouch. In the Big East tourney quarterfinals, ND blew out Cincy by... let me pull out my calculator... 38 points! 89-51.
  4. This should be the link to the fourth picture the Beacon posted of the Barley House watch party. It is of (redshirt?) wing Chauncey Gilliam. He's so nervous before the match-up announcement he can barely look at the tv! No reason for posting this other than the simple fact that I thought it was rather cool that a player who had to sit out on the bench for a year and who knows he has no chance of actually playing in this game, yet feels so much a part of this team that he can hardly bare to look at the tv. This team really seems to love each other. Win or lose, that's extremely cool stuff. Edit: the link doesn't work. It just takes you to the first picture. Chauncey's picture is #4.
  5. ABJ has some pictures posted. Looks like it would have been a blast! I also wish I could have seen the live look-in on CBS.
  6. And, fortunately, as we all know, it all comes down to the tourney in Cleveland. We'll have an entire regular season next year to jell - just like we had this year. Having Abreu at the point, Diggs on a wing & the GameChanger down low is a great starting point!
  7. Sweet. BH had better not screw this up for us.
  8. Why is Nik not coming back? He's already decided to go back to Serbia and play professionally. He's got a girlfriend back home & is ready to move on, get married & start a family. (I believe he's finishing up his degree this spring, so he'll leave UA w/ a diploma, even though he has one year of athletic eligibility left.)
  9. That's right! Zeke Marshall, Mid-American Conference Tournament MVP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. ZEEEEEEEEEEEEEKE championship game stat line: 9 points, 13 rebounds & 9 blocks!!! What's he called? Oh, yeah... GAMECHANGER!!!
  11. Rasor has reported that, "Marshall was named MVP." This can't be for the entire MAC Tourney, can it? Though if it's not Marshall, I don't know who it would be, since it really was such a team effort and different players stepped up each and every game.
  12. I hope someone got a good picture of that and will post here. It clearly was unintentional, but even so, after the fact this will be an excellent picture worth a thousand words!
  13. MVP! MVP! MVP! MVP!
  14. +1. This was 100% absolutely the difference in the game tonight. Zeke Marshall. Without him staying out of foul trouble and altering so many shots in the paint and, yes, even blocking a few, Can't State is going dancing. THANK YOU ZEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Not to take any credit away from the rest of the team or the coaching staff. This was an extremely well played all around team effort. But Zeke almost absolutely shutting down Justin Greene was the difference.)
  15. Uh, oh. Portage County residents have their pockets lined with those things!
  16. Amen, brother. As a side note, did anyone see the Can't fans last night? Every time STO gave a shot of them, it was a bunch of old goofballs, many of whom were sitting on their arse. I wouldn't be surprised if Akron brings many more students to the game tonight. Win or lose, let's show up these quasi-"I brought my OSU shirt with me in case we lose"-Can't State fans. Actually, I also noticed that last night. The average Can't State fan is old. And most of them are fat. Literally. No insult meant here; simply an honest observation. Weird. Probably a Portage County thing?
  17. Quincy had an outstanding game, leading the Zips w/ 18 points on 6-for-6 shooting! And I love the way he pushes the ball up the court. I had about had it with our walking the ball up the court the past 4 years. Having said that, defense will probably be the deciding factor tonight. We simply must contain Justin Greene, Rodriguez Sherman & Michael Porrini. If any other flush beats us, so be it.
  18. Someone else mentioned this earlier & elsewhere, but the MAC is doing itself NO favors by showing bias against a 4-star 7-footer coming into the league.
  19. And Can't State still sucks! Justin Greene really struggles against Zeke. Zeke absolutely must be able to stay on the floor tonight. Porrini also had a monster game last night against Ball SUck. If we can 1) keep Zeke on the floor to frustrate Greene & 2) contain both Porrini & Rodriguez Sherman we'll win the game.
  20. Skillet rocks!
  21. Thanks for keeping tabs on recruiting, Zach. Both RB LaKeith Walls & OLB K.e.n.t. Kern look like very intriguing prospects, who haven't been offered by every Top 20 team in the nation - exactly the sort of player iCoach should be looking at. Walls, a RB @ 6'4" & 200 lbs. reminds me of former Zips recruit & Massillon product Christian Morgan. Morgan was listed @ 6'4" & 215. Walls will most likely add @ least 10 pounds to his frame between his junior & senior seasons. (I know, I know, Morgan never amounted to much. None-the-less, he was truly a physical specimen.)
  22. This has been my thought all season long, though I've never mentioned it due to the fact everyone absolutely loves when Zeke blocks a shot. But I don't care if he ever blocks another shot ever again. I don't like it when Zeke leaves his feet & swats @ shots. I also don't like to see him lean in at all. I'd prefer to simply see him plant his feet and extend his 7'6" arms straight up in the air and just alter every shot taken.
  23. Reminds me of VCU the other night. Didn't see VCU. Even when Miami was coming back, I had total confidence the Zips would win. Being down 28-10 or whatever the halftime score was is extremely difficult to come back from. It's like being down 1-0 at half of a soccer game...the mountain of point is too hard to close the gap on. In the CAA finals the other night VCU was down as many as many as 18 in the second half before cutting it to 1 with about 4 minutes to play. They never regained the lead and lost by 5. Great comeback, but there was nothing left in the tank. Miami really did look to be almost completely out of gas during that final OT. You can chalk their missed free throws up to rubbery legs.
  24. Just a tad.
