  1. Rewound to look at the dvr. JD was 10 yds on the field yelling exactly this at chris. Somethin says we see CJ to start the 2nd half.
  2. JD: "THROW THE F***ING BALL AWAY!!!!" Unbelievable...and the ref says Jacq wasnt trying to run out of bounds. this is why "BCS" victories are even tougher. have to be on the road and deal with their biased referees.
  3. punch it in, zips! 2nd and 8 from the 9 yd line!
  4. another 32 yard punt...this one with a 23 yard return. JD...special teams?
  5. Yep...nothin like a 38 yarder with a BIG akron bounce and a 28 yarder that also took a zips bounce to get that far. This could be a field position game, and stec could very well cost the game with those kind of kicks.
  6. zips 3 and out...uconn 3 and out...zips 1 first down and punt...uconn ball 6 min to go in the 1st q.
  7. Just had a friend text me the same message...via frenchie in the pregame. This is frustrating...MAC season officially starts next week and JD wont stick with a QB. COACH THEM, DONT KEEP CHANGING THEM OUT!!!!
  8. sorry skip-zip. I dropped the ball, i usually start these things up. Busy week at work. Aaaaaaaanyways....I see this game ending a lot like NC State last year...a "BCS" team that is less talented than a lot of folks think and a "BCS"victory hungry zips team. This game will come down to the fourth quarter folks, and if I were a bettin man, i'd take the Zips and those 14 points.Akron 27UCONN 24
  9. why'd ya leave?
  10. OT or penalty kicks? I know nothing about soccer
  11. How accurate are those stats? Is it true we've held them to one shot on goal? And they scored on that one shot?
  12. Anyone know how much admission to the game is? I was thinking of stopping by and my girl is not a student...
  13. "Brookhart, remember, tried to bring Jarvis to Akron back in 2005. By not censuring Lively's attack on another player he recruited, the coach seems to be telling parents of future recruits he will take care of their sons as long as they choose Akron. And if they accept a scholarship to play at another school like Can't State, they better wear titanium-reinforced ankle braces when they play the Zips."Wow...is this me or is this bordering on slander?
  14. Random thought...anyone else see the girl in the buckeyes jersey? i think she was catching some smack and was wearing a "fear the roo" shirt later in the morning. I'm pretty sure it wasnt her own because it was one of those free ones from campus and appeared to be a xxl.
  15. I agree. Is that a printing error where it says he kicked a 43 yeard FG? Nope. And that kick had another 10+ yards in it.
  16. One more thought...all the bitching over the last year and a half about placekicking...it really seems like igor is coming around. Who would've guessed we'd be scoring in 7s and 3s instead of 6s and 0s? If we dont watch out, i'm gonna start EXPECTING us to make kicks.
  17. The best I could do from the Rowdies section with my cell phone...it's good to have the wheel back home where it belongs.

    Advice needed

Hey '81...what time you gonna be there? Cuz if it's 7am I suggest you meet us early bird zippers and share...i'll trade you a can of keystone for a fresh heineken draft....
  19. Just got back from class....and it appears the right side of the banner started to fall from the roof so i believe they'll be "unveiling" it today. It says the usual "Roo Town: This is YOUR town." and some sort of label to signify its placing on the fieldhouse. Only the left side of the banner was opened. My guess is it'll be completely visible by this evening if anyone is near campus.
  20. "Roo Town" I LIKE IT! Perhaps released in relation to beginning construction on the stadium? GO ZIPS!!! BEAT K-S-U!!!
  21. So folks...it's rivalry week if you havent noticed. The Zips host MAC East rival the K.E.N.T State Golden F.lashes.Lines opened favoring Can't by 4.5 points...current lines still hold the zips as underdogs but only by 3 to 3.5 points. That being said...the last battle for the Wagon Wheel in Rubber Bowl history (probably) begins at NOON of September 22, 2007. Get there early and get tailgating (yours truly will be there between 6:30 an 7am) and bring some friends. Fill the house, the forecast calls for 78 and sunny.I'll kick it off here...Zips 31Can't 27
  22. And a big fat "F" you. Get a grip. The Zips are not ready to compete on a week to week basis right now with Big Ten teams. Sink it in your head...i know it's difficult. It has nothing to do with sacrificing the first half of the season. The Zips hung with Indiana for the first half, a true testament to the depth of talent on big ten teams and the accuracy of halftime adjustments. We'll get there. We'll contend for a MAC championship this year. If that's not good enough for you right now, maybe you should go root for another ohio team.
  23. Wow...you guys are all taking things a lot differently than i am. This is a VERY talented zips defense. No doubt the BEST in the MAC. The offense opened things up and is much more difficult to read with Jackson at the helm. The Zips will definitely challenge for a MAC title this year, and will be bowling no doubt. As for that "next step," we'll be waiting till next year or perhaps the first year at infocision. To hang with ohio state and have a GOOD chance at beating Indiana...this shows us we are on the way up still. Hold your heads high, Zips. Hold em high. GO ZIPS!
  24. Headed to BW3 on campus as we speak. GO ZIPS!
  25. Me and some friends will be at bw3 on exchange. would love to see some folks from the board show up there too. i'm sure there will be a decent amount of zips fans like last week except minus the bucks fans. And remember folks...if you're looking for pro-zips...every server/bartender at bdubs last week was wearing zips gear. so join us!
