  1. How do you go from expecting to go in the top 3 of the draft and lobbying to play for the Browns because it would be a "dream come true," then slip all the way down to 20 and then hold out? I'm hating professional sports more and more.

  2. I think the University should take advantage of the new digital/electronic billboards on Rt 8, Interstate 77 and on Interstate 76 to promote our teams more.  Start putting up schedules, pictures and whatever. Those new billboards really catch your attention. Start advertising!!! :champs:
Word on the street is that they will be taking advantage of one of those billboards......for the Westfield Cup. I saw a demo of it and it looked great, but no word yet on whether or not the football season will be hyped.
  3. http://www.cleveland.com/plaindealer/stori...3090.xml&coll=2http://www.cleveland.com/plaindealer/stori...8430.xml&coll=2There's a couple of articles from today's Plain Dealer. Apparently Time Warner and Comcast don't have it yet. DirectTV and smaller cable carriers do. The network will also not air commercials for alcohol, kinda funny since football and alcohol go together like peanut butter and jelly, but I guess they're gonna play more than football. The second article also says that Time Warner carries ESPNU now on its basic lineup. I just returned my cable box a few weeks ago since I moved back home but I do not remember ESPNU being on there.
  4. I think the Big 10 Network is owned by Fox (not positive), if this is the case, there's a chance that one of Fox's other channels might be able to show the game if no one is able to get the channel. This should also mean that none of the ESPN channels will be able to get it.

  5. I think it's funny how the YSU Athletic Director makes it sound like they would be doing us a favor by playing us by saying "The only way we would resume playing Akron and Can't would be on a home-and-home basis..." Like we would bow down to them. Give me a freaking break! :iws:
Hmm...sounds kinda like what KD has been trying to do with the basketball team. Should any of the "big boys" bow down to Akron?
  6. HOLD OUT!?!?!!?!?! YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME! THE KID EXPECTED TO GO IN THE TOP 3 AND ENDED UP GOING #22. YOU DON'T HOLD OUT! YOU GET YOUR @$$ IN CAMP AND PROVE TO EVERYONE YOU AREN'T THE WHINEY LITTLE CHUMP WHO HAD TO GET A PRIVATE ROOM DURING THE DRAFT! AFTER HE SAID IT'S A LIFE-LONG DREAM TO PLAY FOR THE BROWNS, HE HAS THE BALLS TO SAY HE'S HOLDING OUT? HE IS A PIECE OF GARBAGE! I HATED HIM BEFORE BUT THIS IS THE ICING ON THE CAKE! LONG LIVE CHARLIE!

  7. I'd like to see the estate of the late John Belushi cough up $20 million, in which case we could call it Blutarski Stadium, after his famous Animal House character.
If that's the case then there better be Jack Daniel's available at every concession stand!
  8. The pit located between West 3rd and West 6th (also known as the Fagans lot) will be empty.
I love the pit! That's generally where I go for Browns games unless I plan on getting absolutely rocked and wanna see some crazy stuff -- that's when I go to the Muny Lot. I say we set up in the pit. It's actually a shorter walk and easier to get out of.
