  1. MLS Player salaries ... http://www.mlsplayers.org/files/April%201,%202014%20Salary%20Information%20-%20By%20Club.pdf
  2. 3 Zips in MLS (Trapp, Sarkodie, Yedlin) make SBI MLS Best XI of the Month (March) http://www.soccerbyives.net/2014/04/best-month-march-1.html
  3. Tempo Free Soccer, Let's Talk about Wil Trapp ... http://tempofreesoccer.blogspot.com/2014/04/lets-talk-about-wil-trapp.html?spref=tw "...All players reach the point where vague assertions like the one I made above ("possesses a level of maturity and technical skill not often seen...") must be confirmed with output. In the first weeks of the MLS season Wil Trapp is blowing right through that barrier with such a force that we just cannot ignore him anymore."
  4. @ZIP ... There is no Title IX issue with Womens Soccer Spring matches. From GoZips.com at http://www.gozips.com/sports/wsoc/2013-14/releases/20140226sagxz2, Womens Soccer Announces Spring Exhibition Schedule. 2014 Spring Exhibition Schedule Sat., March 1 vs. Robert Morris, Stile Athletics Field House, 12:30 p.m. Sat., March 15 at Saint Francis, 5 p.m. Sun., April 6 at Cleveland State, 1 p.m. Wed., April 16 vs. Malone, Schrank Field, 7:30 p.m. Fri., April 25 vs. Duquesne, FirstEnergy Stadium – Cub Cadet Field, 7 p.m.
  5. Under Gregg Berhalter, Columbus Crew youngster Wil Trapp is beginning to show his potential ... http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/2014/04/01/under-gregg-berhalter-columbus-crew-youngster-wil-trapp-beginning-show-his-p?utm_source=Twitter&utm_medium=referral&utm_content=News&utm_campaign=Unpaid I especilly like the last paragraph ... "And expect him to join fellow US U-20 veterans Luis Gil and DeAndre Yedlin in Jurgen Klinsmann's plans sooner rather than later. A trip to Brazil is probably out of the question, but feel free to be shocked if Trapp isn't in the first post-World Cup camp." Yedlin, Trapp, and Nagbe for World Cup 2018 would be most awesome.
  6. DeAndre Yedlin Eager for Chance Against Mexico Due to last-minute personnel changes, Yedlin, a 20-year-old right back with the Seattle Sounders, could be in the starting lineup against Mexico on Wednesday. He welcomes the challenge. ... http://www.americansoccernow.com/articles/deandre-yedlin-eager-for-chance-against-mexico
  7. Eric Stevenson scores a goal for the NY Red Bulls Reserves vs the Dayton Dutch Lions (approximately 1:36:48) ...
  8. I should have posted this when I first read it a few days ago... Harrisburg City Islanders sign Robbie Derschang http://www.pennlive.com/sports/index.ssf/2014/03/post_456.html?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter http://cityislanders.com/uncategorized/rookie-midfielder-brings-versatility-to-islanders/
  9. Chad Barson & Wil Trapp getting ready to train in Seattle at Century Link Field. http://instagram.com/p/mGqQn1EN44/#
  10. Should DeAndre Yedlin make the World Cup roster?...
  11. I attended the Columbus v Philadelphia match yesterday at Crew Stadium and was very happy to see Wil Trapp's image numerous places around the stadium. Good to see the Crew fully recognize how great a player they have in Wil and how well he represents them.
  12. Of course...to set up the excuses if/when the Zips lose. After that 46 point embarrassment in the NCAA Tourney last season and the collapse in this season's MAC Tourney semi-final, let's be sure the excuses are in place.
  13. Look at the RPI of the 20 teams the Zips defeated. I think Ohio, at 81, is the highest RPI-ranked team the Zips beat. http://www.ncaa.com/rankings/basketball-men/d1/ncaa-mens-basketball-rpi I wish we could see how successful KD would be if the MAC was better overall like in the days when the MAC was a 2 bid conference.
  14. Thanks ZIP and Yaznasty for those updates. I hadn't seen that our other draftees had been cut or that Blair had found a place in the NASL.
  15. I agree...it's a bit of a stretch. And, I've given it too much attention.
  16. What does this have to do with Zips in Pro Leagues?
  17. Looks like Ampai is continuing to enjoy life in Thailand. http://anthonyampaipitakwong.wordpress.com/2014/02/25/happy-2014/
  18. +1 Our guys need our positive encouragement.
  19. I recall a number of 2nd chances, but we just didn't have personnel in the right place to take advantage. I'm happy with the amount of possession, we're just not finishing. We will work through this. Someone has to step up. Also, when Bryan is out, someone needs to step up and be the leader whether or not that player is a captain.
  20. I don't believe you've seen any NCAA soccer matches with OT, then. NCAA is up to two 10-minute OT periods, first (golden) goal wins. FIFA is two 15-minute OT periods. Full 30 minutes is played. No OT during regular season.
  21. AWESOME Zips fan!
  22. @LZip That statement is incredibly unfair. How about showing some support instead of being so negative. I just got home from NY/NJ and am very proud of our team. I can't wait til Friday when we're finally at home. GO ZIPS!
  23. Great save by Chad Barson early vs Houston Dynamo tonight. Crew win 2-0.
  24. Coming Soon. Perhaps we'll see something later today or tomorrow as I would think the Mens Soccer team would be traveling to Charleston later today. If not, there's always @ZipsMSoc @ZipsCoachEmbick and @ZipsPaul on twitter
  25. This is a good listen. Some great Akron stuff 16 minutes or so into it. http://www.portlandtimbers.com/news/2013/0...ch-caleb-porter
