Lunardi currently has us as a 16 seed, but personally I think we could go as high as a 13 or 14. Current 13 seeds according to Lunardi: Princeton, Bucknell, Belmont, Oakland Current 14 seeds according to Lunardi: Long Island, Morehead State, Indiana State, Wofford Current 15 seeds according to Lunardi: St. Peters, UCSB, Northern Colorado, UNC Asheville Current 16 seeds (not play-in games): Boston U, Akron Current Play-in games: Alabama State/Hampton, UALR/Texas San Antonio I believe all four 16 seeds are play ins.

CK, I agree with you about "Joe Akron". However, the dismal turnout of season ticket holders was ridiculous. Section L was only about 10% full until they announced that the fans in the bleachers could move into the lower seats. At $10/seat it's SAD that our supposed fan base couldn't be bothered to come to a game played at the same time as any regular season weeknight game. The players deserve better than that, even if they are playing inconsistently. I never paid attention, but the Tommy Evans Lounge must have been closed.

Yes, but I dont' think that's exactly what he meant due to the time limits on answering those questions. It has to be some of both. Recruit players who can play the system/style of play. Adjust the system to fit the recruited players' abilities as a team.

This crowd should at least be average. It's a MAC Tournament game at the same time in the evening as most Zips' games.

I agree...you have to love a coach who says "It can be done at Akron" and then does it. And, at the same time emphasizes that we all do it together...the team on the field with the fans supporting them. I also appreciate this quote..."The players dictate the system; not the system dictate the players." Even though he recruits GREAT soccer players, he adjusts his system to fit their abilities. Too many coaches, of various sports, don't seem to make these adjustments. I look forward to supporting our team in the Spring (preseason) games at home and away. I strongly encourage those fans who can to make the road trips as well as catching the games in Akron...everything, in the USA, is close this year (Pontiac, MI and Xenia are only 2.5-3 hour drives) and on weekends. I had a great time in Pontiac, at CSU, and at WVU last Spring. Our team approaches all of these games wanting to play their best and to win. The Spring games are every bit as competitive and fun as the games in the Fall. The games in Pontiac are indoors, so weather isn't a factor except in driving there. Also, you get to see some of the players you didn't see in the Fall...for example, our 3 redshirt Freshmen and the 5 of the incoming players have already joined the team this Spring.
