I do like your Z logo with the chromed helmet to. I also liked the yellow/gold helmet with the moving A worn when Gerry Faust was our coach in 1986 to 1994.

It was announced today Feb 1st on the Malone university athletic website that they are discontinuing football immediately as part of a restructuring process designed to eliminate $2.5million structural deficit over the next two years. The decision will eliminate expenses of approximately $1million annually.

I'm like you 3rd&twenty, never went to UA, but robotically was a seasons ticket holder for football for years. I followed the Zips because they were my hometown team.

Could the lack of attendance be attributed to the Zips playing on TV every home game?

If your coming up north to Akron on I-77 through Canton, at exit 118 (Massillon Road) there is the Cambria Suites & Hotel. At exit 120 (Arlington Road) you'll find five hotels. 1. When heading north you'll come across a central interchange with the sign that says I-77 West, don't follow it. You want to keep going straight on (Route 8 Cuyahoga Falls). After the interchange you want to get off at the first exit which is Buchtel Ave. At the light, go left over the bridge and make a left at the next light, and the stadium will be on the right.
