Here's the full bracket. Akron with a first round bye. Will play winner of Rutgers and LIU Brooklyn. http://www.ncaa.com/interactive-bracket/soccer-men/d1
Z-man down with a torn ACL! Not good for a Timbers side already limping along. http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/2015/02/23/portland-timbers-confirm-ben-zemanski-acl-injury-ponder-potential-replacemen
Steve Zakuani announced today that while the spirit is willing, the body is weak. The end of an all-too-short professional career for one of my favorite Zips. http://www.ussoccerplayers.com/2014/10/soccer-news-steve-zakuani-deciding-to-stop.html
This article hits the nail on the head. PK is a hard-working, focused D-mid with all kinds of up side for DC United and the US MNT. My only regret is that I only got to watch him at Akron for one season.
Reinaldo did not play today. Akron looked excellent the entire game, dominating possession and shots. Meves had to make maybe one save. As far as I know everyone else is healthy.
Announcers gushing all the time about how well Akron is playing, controlling the ball, winning the 50-50's, etc. Only problem is they can't seem to put the ball into the back of the net (I mean except for the one that was called back).
