That makes sense. I never saw anything official but assumed it was an exhibition and the CMU (Tartans) game would count. Usually one of the D-II or D-III games is an exhibition and one counts, but never knew the ins and outs of it.

Agree to disagree. This wasn't a quick hitter to the sideline. The play was a rollout to get him some time with a primary read over the middle and the next option was sideline, and obviously last resort take off or throw it into the stands. In any case I think we'd all agree that he wasn't put into the greatest of spots, but the playbook is a little limited down two possessions with not much time left.

Have you ever played football? Sideline throw isn't a play. There are multiple routes and progressions and that was one of the options. Down late in the game you have to put the ball in the air. Not to mention that we have zero run threat as it is.
