  1. I'm nervous now. Wood is out. Ced might not play. Dials is hurt. Unless we have several underclassmen suddenly transform into leaders or at least solid contributors, we're in some deep trouble.
  2. Well, now we're in for it. Wood is gone, Ced is barely able to move, Dials is hurt, and Quade is nonexistanst. So much for having a senior-laden team.It may spell good news for next year by giving all of our underclassmen a chance to develop, and it may give Goddard and Salee more playing time, but unless Wood, Dials, and Ced make miracle comebacks before the Can't game (I would say the tourney, but there's no way in hell that we can allow Can't to beat us at home), it's time to start looking ahead to next year.
  3. Chris McKnight had 18 pts, not Brett, I think Brett only play 3 or 4 minutesSo you're telling me that Chris McKnight, not Brett, hit 6 threes?
  4. :rolleyes:You must be a mind reader. You somehow KNOW that the guy didn't care about staying, he was just being greedy.I mean, he's been there for decades, but he really wanted to move, but didn't move because he knew they wanted to build a stadium there so he held out.He had that "Moving across the street" sign up for a month now, and just recently settled. If he was already moving why would he hold out for a month longer, accumulating legal fees the whole time, if he was just going to accept the offer that was already on the table?
  5. http://www.ohio.com/news/top_stories/15430311.htmlSo the Don is planning to sell off our sewer system to somehow help pay for tuition for Akron Public School students if they plan on attending the University of Akron or another technical or advanced trade school in the city.I like the idea of offering incentives to keep our students within the city instead of migrating away, in fact it is what should have been happening for years. But to sell off the sewer system to do so? That's crazy. It should be done through some type of investment that the student gets once they start school in the 1st grade that grows for 12 years to be used when they graduate, but if they chose to leave the city we re-invest it back into other students' funds. But I guess that's hard to do when the city is over $1,000,000,000 in debt.
  6. http://www.ohio.com/news/top_stories/15430421.htmlSettled out of court for $443,460. The building they're moving into cost $400,000. He made a $43,460 profit. Absolutely nobody should feel sorry for this guy. Funnny thing is, he got the same amount that was offered months ago, but he just dragged it out too long in hopes of more money, and will now likely have legal fees to pay for because of his greed.
  7. The underclassmen have been stepping it up. Bardo is improving every game, B. McKnight had 18 points on Wednesday, and Nate continues to be the motivating force behind the team. The injuries are piling up quickly, and we don't really have a break to rest them.Maybe we need to sit one injured player out every game, in a rotation. Every game, Dambrot says he won't play our injured guys, and every game they play extended minutes. That has to stop.
  8. Down 80-64. :( :( Why can't we ever start off a game good? Why does it take getting down by some ridiculous amount to wake this team up? Is it the injuries?
  9. B. McKnight is having a career game. 18 points.
  10. With Wood out, we're going to be hurting badly unless C. Mcknight and Bardo step up really fast.
  11. Down 10 again. This is an essential game. It's like the Toledo game last year, with the winner having a very good chance to win the conference.
  12. Well, at least we're not the only team having a bad night.Ohio - 40EMU - 49 -- 4:49 2nd halfBSU - 45Can't - 41 -- 5:29 2nd half
  13. The Refs seem to be really confused making bad calls on both ends.
  14. Nate seems to be single-handedly willing this team back nito the game.
  15. Wood's hurt bad, Dials is hurt bad, Middleton has been hurt for weeks. We really really need some rest.
  16. Nothing we do is working. Shots are going in and somehow popping out. It's one of those nights.
  17. WMU is getting so many second and third chances on every possesion.
  18. Now 19-10. It's gonna be a long night.
  19. Wood has absolutely no help.
  20. Now down 15-10. WMU is shooting hot from beyond the arc.
  21. 7-5 WMU at the first break. Not looking very good. Dials is sick/hurt.
  22. Great stuff. Congratulations to Mr. Hixon and Mr. Blackburn!
  23. While most of you were preparing your superbowl meals for later tonight, the Lady Zips were buy winning their second game in a row for the first time since mid-December. They are now 7-15 and 2-6 in the MAC. There were maybe 200 people there, which is sad since the team played their hearts out.Anyways, congrats to the Lady Zips, and here's hoing that they can get this season turned around. They only need to peak at the right time to be able to win the tournament since most games they've played are close ones, coming up just short.
  24. We can't. That's why we need the city to foot the majority of the bill. They want a new basketball/hockey arena downtown? Then they can pay for it. We still haven't outgrown the JAR and have no plans of our own.
  25. Our destiny is once again in our own hands. Go get 'em!
