  1. Frye leads him in almost every category (except things that are game based, like passing yards per game - Getsy is ahead of Frye). Also as of that date, Fyre and Getsy owned the top ten passing yardage performances in UA history, and 16 of the top 20.

Frye Records in 46 games: Career passing, Season passing yards, Most pass completions in game, Completions per game, highest completion percentage (game, season & career), lowest percent of passes intercepted career & game, Touchdowns in career, passes completed in a game.

Getsy Records in 25 games: Single game passing, Most passing attempts in a game, Most pass completions in season, Touchdowns in a season & game, Yards in a half, consecutive passing attempts w/o an int, mac championships won, bowl game appearances.

  2. Charlie's list of accoplishments as a Zip are astounding.
Who holds more Akron passing records, Charlie or Luke? Doesn't Luke have most td's in a season? Frye has all time passing yards I think. Of course he played twice as many games as Luke. I can't seem to find akron all time passing records with a google search.
  3. I voted for Dwight Smith on this one. I probably seen him play one of the most dominating college games at DB that I have ever seen. He won a game against Ken+ pretty much by himself at DB. Taylor would be a close second for overall career. Hixon third for that catch. Best play in the biggest game. Fun poll.

  4. Apparently Pryor did not learn some important life lessons from Tressel at tOSU.
Pryor did something wrong to get his license suspended, and then ignored it and continued to drive.

Tressel did something wrong by not forwarding those emails, and then ignored it and continued to coach.

I would say Pryor learned exactly what he was taught. Check Saint Jim's next book for more lessons on how to get around rules and financially succeed.

  5. Why would Tressel come here?
    The godfather answers that here.

He believes Tressel is more likely to pursue an unpaid gig at a small school where he can go back to teaching young players and helping coaches.

    Small school....check

    Coaches need help...check

PS I am against hiring JT. I don't want to sit in a stadium full of Columbus state honks telling me how great Tressel is.

  6. Lets see,so the story about the cars was ,what 'not accurate'? I am not a big OSU fan but a lot of you out there assumed alot.

    What about the other 49?

Former OSU basketball player Mark Titus wrote Tuesday on his blog that the perks within the football program are far from a secret."Any OSU student in the past five years could tell you that a lot of the football players drive nice cars," Titus wrote. "You'd have to be blind to not notice it."Small said there was no shortage of people trying to help Ohio State athletes. "Everywhere you go, while you're in the process of playing at Ohio State," Small said, "you're going to get a deal every which way."

  7. Me and a couple of other fans put together a day at Fairlawn CC for the Coaching staff to meet some of the die hard fans. All that was required from the staff was to show up and shake a few hands and tip a few beers. The HC wanted nothing to do with the idea. Even his agent who suggested the event was perplexed.
It sure is tough, and a lot of work to be a Zips fan. Somebody that is getting paid to do so should make it easier.
