When I went to the NCAA tournament in Cleveland in 2005, I got a shirt that has all eight teams that played in Cleveland that year.
I hope they have something like that in Chicago.
Link for shirt.
Abeu & Diggs will bring more to the table next year. I would guess most Zips fans can see that potential. Another year for Zeke to mature also, he should become a force in Mac play. I would expect his stats to get more consistent. I'm not ready to write in detail yet about next year until this year is over.
I was thinking the same. It seems to me in Zeke's young career, the bigger the game, the more attitude he brings. I remember coach McFadden after the first Ken+ game this year saying something like "we need to get Zeke to play like this every game." There has been no bigger game that Zeke has played in...bring it Z!
I think this is the best part, it gives more Zips fans a chance to get to see their team play live in the big dance. I know how fun it was at the Q on Saturday night, imagine if we win Friday and I'm not there when given a chance. Forecast is calling for 50 degrees for the drive up and back.
That was actually #1 on my list. Actually, they were so important, they should have been numbers 1,2&3.
My bad, so much to read today, I am flying reading and not paying attention.
Good to hear from you Z-P!!!
I like both coaches evaluation of the game, especially Geno's (see newsnet 5 interviews).
Both had the same breakdown of what the game changer (hint hint) was to last night's game as opposed to Fridays Ken+ victory.
GP1, I would add a #4 to your list, McKnight's crucial free throws.
Way to stay focused and come up big when it mattered the most. What is the saying "It's not whether you get knocked down...It's how you get back up"
GREAT photo!
From the newsnet 5 interviews:
"I just thank gawd for a second chance" --Brett M
"I'm so proud of him" Steve M
"Give Brett, credit he stepped up and swished both after shooting an air ball, that's not easy to do" --Geno F
The players on the floor were the difference. Zeke didn't foul out. Akron was a better team last Friday then Can't right up until Zeke fouled out. They were the better team on the floor last night and they won. Akron is a better team than Can't and if Zeke doesn't foul out last Friday, they go 3-0 against them this season. Akron is the better team.
While Zeke played a great game, the difference was your coach. He had the team ready to play every game and they showed an incredible toughness that mirrors his own.
Even KD agrees Zeke was the difference
That's the over/under. Line is currently OFF. I'm dying to know the line, I have a bet with a Ken+ fan on who will be favored.
If that's the O/U, then why are the other games all single-digit?
Did you read what I wrote? The line was OFF, so they posted the o/u. There is a line now, Ken+ favored by one & a half.
