  1. You could of bought a photo of the hit on the NFL website if you were quick.

According to NFL.com, Harrison is considering retiring now. "I'm going to sit down and have a serious conversation with my coach tomorrow and see if I can actually play by NFL rules and still be effective," Harrison said. "If not, I may have to give up playing football." source

  2. However, then we gaze up north and see that many, many Browns fans believe Lerner did the exact same thing, hiring Mangini. And is anyone stepping up to defend Manny Acta's hiring....when Sandy Alomar was clearly the better choice (Toronto sure things so)? Too, the Cavs hired a guy who didn't even understand OFFENSE, when he had the top player in the game. This is clearly a NEO epidemic. Some very short-sighted and poor decisions by men being paid millions of dollars to know better.

You forgot the Lake Erie Monster's coach, that guy wouldn't know a dump pass from a dump truck!

  3. Which hit would you describe as classless? I assume that's what you're talking about. The one on Cribbs, he was a running back at that point, so totally legal. Or the one on Massaquoi, when he took 3 steps before getting hit by Harrison?
The Cribbs hit was legal, the Massaquoi hit will draw a fine. I think it was Jaws last night that was speaking about the Massaquoi hit, he said he was talking to someone and that person said the QB should be fined for that hit for leading him into the zone, he said he was half kidding. Jaws made the point that there are only about a handful of good QB's in the league right now that are good at recognizing defenses. He said that defenses are so sophisticated now a days that a lot of QB's can't determine man coverage from zone at the snap and end up leading their receivers into a big hit. Interesting perspective.

KSPU basketball will get KO'ed this year. Like this little girl down-arrow.gif

  4. The really, really, really good news is Alex Abreu. Alex is for real. Alex

is a genuine POINT GUARD. Much better than even predicted. Look for Alex to take the starting role

early in the season. He is that good. If he stays healthy he will easily be a MAC all freshman.

That is GREAT news, I hope what you saw transfers over to real games. I think a lot will go right for the Zips if this is true.
  5. It's been about three years since we've won a road game.
Without looking I'm pretty sure we beat KSPU at the hippie campus TWO years ago. Wasn't that the same year we won AT Army and Syracuse (Kenny rant)?

Zips Win, if we win today, we may start kidnapping you on game day.

  6. Since we are looking at 0-12...
We have 6 games left , half of them at home, more than a month of practices, I'm not willing to accept a no win season yet. It would be an interesting line of questioning from one of the press to ask Rob in his weekly MAC phone conference, "Are you confident that you will get in the win column this year, what if you don't, can you call the season a failure? Did you think it would take a long time to get in the win column when you took the job, or did you expect more this season?" This line of questioning assumes we lose in Athens Saturday...which I hope we don't.
  7. Many changes for Zips basketball team

Of all the photos to use, Tom picks this one to start the season? Is he just being funny, intuitive, or just random?

''We don't think this is going to be our very best team, but we still think we can make good strides with this team.'' -KD

Damn, KD's not getting me very excited about this year. Can't wait to "make good strides", maybe the Rowdies can come up with a chant or something.

  8. Using Explorer/MSN9 with Vista.
I avoid all Microsoft products like the plague when possible. My first piece of advice would be to try switching to Firefox as your browser. Use Zipsnation with that for a while and see if the problem persists, if it doesn't, Exploder, I mean Explorer is your problem. If it doesn't, something else is.

A couple of quick searches on your issue:

    Cookies expiring?

    Cookies blocked? Add-ons blocked?

This thread sounds like your issue. It was a server problem Anyone else having this issue, I'm not?

    Let us know.

  9. There's honestly no point in winning. The more we lose, the faster RI's seat heats up.
Honestly, I think I would like to see us win and start to play well. That's just me though. If your sole purpose to Akron football is to wait for a coach to be fired that we just hired, stop back in three years.
  10. I ran across this article this morning by a Penn State student/fan
Thanks. Not that I read a lot of soccer stories, but that one was well done. Entertaining, and with (too small) photos. What will become of the student that stole the jerseys? I wonder because it determines if he is a hero, or an idiot. Sounds like any Akron fan that made the trip got their moneys worth.
