After more than 15 years of Super Bowl ads, Akron passes on spending $58,500. Kent State does not.

Defense still winning championships. GP1's rationalization would have been entertaining.

With our new upgrade, we will get minor "bug" upgrades more frequent. I assume this is a software bug. I will see if it has made their "bug" list yet. Thanks. -

Try it now, is this still the case? -
George Rusinko might have kicked a 35 yard field goal for Buckeye in 2013. Satchel Strahm might be from Carey Ohio. Abdoulie Jallow might have played soccer at Marygrove college. Braulio Garduno might be from Guajalajara. Clayton Uecker might have played QB for Ave Maria U last season. Mario McFarren might be from Dalton. Hakeem Wrimene is a track guy

There will be near ten quarterbacks drafted this year. If you had your choice who would you select, and why? You can't be wrong posting here. It's Mel Kiper's only job, and he is continually wrong...some how people still care what he has to say. Kiper “If [Clausen is] not a successful starting quarterback in the NFL, I’m done. That’s it. I’m out.” Kiper on JaMarcus Russell “Three years from now you could be looking at a guy that’s certainly one of the elite top five quarterbacks in this league… look out because the skill level he has is certainly John Elway-like.” “Akili Smith will be a great NFL player and would finally provide the Cincinnati Bengals with the passer they’d lacked since Boomer Esiason.” “Mark Sanchez is a hot guy right now because of the fact that he’s what you want in terms of accuracy. And that’s not just in the pocket, that’s not just when he has all day to throw. He can roll right, he can roll left and throw accurately.”

“My main focus this game is defense,” Cheatham said. “The last game, I was trying to score and we don’t need that. We’ve got other people to score. My main focus is defense.” This kind of team first attitude is great to hear.

Since I'm an Akron and MAC football fan, recruiting rankings and "stars" mean very little me. I watch improperly ranked MAC players on Saturdays in the fall like Antonio Brown, Khalil Mack and Jatavis Brown.

The Zips are a five point favorite tonight. Reminder, game is a 8 o'clock. OddsShark has the Zips losing 69-68.

A little about KD's coaching staff from Z360.

Good luck to coach Funk. Anxious to see who comes in to add energy to the offensive line group!

Ohio dot com article on signing day by GT. "Six of the recruits — Trevor Brown, Brandon Council, Montel Jordan, Jovann Letuli, Cedric McCoy and Jonathan Neeley — are offensive linemen. Even more important is that four of them enrolled early and will be able to participate in spring practice, which should allow them to challenge for significant playing time." Video of Jaleel Davis signing at his high school. “I broke records here, and I’m trying to break records at Akron,” Davis said. In his senior year, Davis broke Titusville’s record for rushing yards with 3,840 over his high school career, surpassing Gerald White, who played with the Terriers from 1980 to 1982 before moving on to play with the University of Michigan and the Dallas Cowboys. Davis also scored 42 career touchdowns."

The Jets on Wednesday announced that they signed Dri Archer, a wide receiver/running back/return specialist most recently with the Steelers, to a reserve/futures contract. Archer finished the 2015 season out of football after being waived in early November. The Steelers drafted him in the 2014 third round, but he never found a place within their crowded receiving corps and didn't stick as a running back.

Looks like Akron is now listing Kato as 6'1" and 195. Watch Coach Bowden talk about his class here. Coach mentioned Zips signee Alvin Davis school, St Thomas Aquinas. Check out some of the talent in that school.
-
@alexmarvez Source tells @NFLonFOX that ex- @Panthers & @Giants LB Chase Blackburn interviewing to become @Chargers assistant special teams coach.
-
Kato is six foot, 175. Apparently Kalyn is 5'11" 155. Our rivals signed a 115 pound guy!?!

If TW13 has an offseason like he did last year, he has the potential to significantly move up this list in 2017. He has the all tools, he just needs to keep his determination. CMU's Cooper Rush is listed at #22, so (on this list) TW13 would be third in the MAC. The Zips will face #20, Taylor Lamb of Appalachian State at Infocision on Sept 24.

You should just be able to paste it in, but members are getting a "Forbidden" error as of right now. This could be a server side issue, we are checking into it. For now you can use the "link" feature. I will update when the issue has been addressed. Thanks for your patience.
