  1. I bet the second half made him rethink that...
  2. Because they wanted to give Ohio, Toledo, and NIU cake schedules this year. Did I say that out loud?
  3. This team eats their own clock even better than Shurrrrrmurrrrrrrr. And then runs up the gut.
  4. There's ONE GUY on that whole fricken team you gotta watch, and there he went.
  5. The bottom half of the conference is ranked 139th and worse. NIU and Toledo (and Ohio I guess) are having great seasons, but not enough to prop up the bottom feeders...
  6. Am I the only one who sees the change in our production and the way opponents play us (Kyle Pohl time? MAC caught up?) is also the same point in the season when we started fighting the heavyweights of the conference? Coincidence? Outcoached? Or just these much better teams have had solid recruiting classes the past 4 years? IMO it's the latter. Panic and benching is only going to hurt us against CMU and UMass. Toledo (and probably Can't) is going to take us to the woodshed, like we knew they would before the season started. Just as BG, Ohio, and NIU did. They're going to walk though our O line, they're going to cover our receivers like a blanket, they're going to walk through our front seven that we all knew lacked depth and size. Step in off the ledge.
  7. Agreed, I'm torn between Toledo and NIU. Whoever it is is going to blow the shit out of whoever the East sends there, the real MAC daddy is Wed Nov. 14. If I had to pick I think NIU is better than Toledo, and has home field against them. But man is it tight.
  8. Did anyone expect different? Against Northern Illinois???' Let's be real. This is a very good team, better than Ohio IMO.
  9. Jeff Sagarin http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/sports/sagarin/fbc12.htm You think I go by National (popularity) rankings?
  10. I have to be fair. Ilistened to Joe's show yesterday and it was the most interesting show I have heard in a long long time. I'll definitely be tuning in again. It's not as if there is any competition from the Cleveland stations in that time slot...
  11. At the beginning of the season I thought Ohio was the class of the conference but now (injuries) I think they're actually behind NIU and Toledo. Although Toledo didn't do themselves any favors Saturday.
  12. And put in WHO? The biggest problem with this team is the lack of size and depth. We couldn't field two O lines in the spring game. What the hell would that do for this program? Crimony, even IaDon'tKnow could win one game a year.
  13. Fourth rated conference in college football (behind B12, SEC, Pac12). The 12th ranked MAC wishes they had that kind of "demise".
  14. The police weren't called this week.
  15. I hate that my work shift changed and I can't work with the tam or even go to the games this year. Sounds like they starting out strong.
  16. Hmmm, where have I seen this before?
  17. Akron Airships? Or would it look bad for players to say they were going to AA meetings?
  18. One and the same. He was highly distraught on his last day, I was surprised he finished out his shift. I think he needs more callers.
  19. Agreed. I haven't been so emotionally charged for a sporting event since my son played football. That's been a couple of years ago. I felt like a sports fan again. Alive. A nice change from the quote "football" fed to us by UA and the Browns. All Cleveland sports, actually.
  20. I would have thought Akron should beat BG easily, they were really off. But that tune-up last might have gotten them back on track. Should be a heck of a game. I wish our secondary could grow a couple of inches this week...
  21. Where's that Bobcats lover now? Not so easy to brag when you narrowly escape UfreakinMass...
  22. I'm not impressed by the Big Least anymore. I was more impressed when it had Pitt, WVU, Cincy, Syracuse, Louisville. (I'm not just looking at football and I know not all of those schools have/are leaving). Their new footprint only adds a lot of travel to the teams, and prevents a lot of fans from travelling to the games. Would Houston and SMU really help us recruit in Texas? What did UCF do for the MAC? Who's going on a roadie to Boise or SD to see football? Does it really help all the other Zips teams to travel to New England several times a year? I'm not impressed.
