if you would of read my earlier posts, i do NOT want Dambrot fired. I'm one of the ones that have been backing him up the past 3 seasons on here (especially after the CBI loss to Green Bay). I've had OTHER people tell me that they want KD fired...please read all the context before reacting. I was simply just trying to state that if someone wants KD gone, someone has to replace him. Can't just get rid of someone and not having anyone replace him that would be better. That was my point

true, but he needs to time his block attempts a little better. Timing was off a lot tonight. It happens, but when that's your specialty, you need to do your best to stay consistent. Chauncey played well at times tonight, and just felt bad for Brian tonight. These 3 seniors have made it a memorable few years of Zips basketball. Can't wait for next year already...

If you don't think Dambrot can do it, you need to at least give a name that can replace him. Can't just fire a guy and have no replacement? I'm just tired of people pulling for Dambrot one day for coach of the year, and the next day those same people want him fired

You guys who are posting about Dambrot can't coach in these games, and shouldn't be our coach, WELCOME BACK. Here's what I have to say to those of you that don't think KD has what it takes: GET OUT OF HERE AND DON'T COME BACK We're spoiled to be in this position. Plenty of MAC schools would have been satisfied to have been in our situation tonight. Some would have been satisfied to of been in our situation SATURDAY night. Seven straight MAC title games, and 3 NCAA berths. NCAA tourney win will happen. People forget how young this team was this season. Tree will replace Zeke. We'll be better next season. Anyways, this will sting for a while. However, I'm still a Zips fan and still a Dambrot supporter. Good luck to Districtballer and the VCU Rams the rest of the tourney

I have to admit. This is setting up really well. Everyone is picking VCU right now. Forget the regular season Bracketbuster game!!!!!! +1 I feel this matchup helps us out a lot. Because it's not like we're preparing for a Notre Dame or a Gonzaga that we rarely see or haven't played before. We're playing a team that we are very familiar with that not only the coaches should already know what we need to do, but the players should know as well. With the amount of newcomers for us personally, with Betancourt, Kretzer, McAdams, Forsythe, a more mature Treadwell, and others with role improvements, I feel that Shaka has more film to watch to prepare than KD does. If you look at what we lost last year, and what we gain in players this year, I like our chances. I'll admit, I had a plate of crow along with some bloody sauce the past couple days. I thought this would be too much distraction at the worst time of the year. I knew that Betancourt would have a tough task being a true freshman playing minimum minutes all year, and his only connection to home, is now gone, i just didn't think he would be able to handle it. I was wrong, and I'm proud of this team, and shouldn't of doubted them. As that being said, I'm not counting the Zips out in any matchup. I've learned my lesson. Here's a slogan that i've seen teams have before, and feel this is true to us this season. "Respect is EARNED, not GIVEN." Anyone who thinks we got screwed over by the NCAA committee needs to look at it this way. Instead of going out and blaming the selection committee, let's get behind this team and make a run!!!!!! We then would gain respect!!!!!!!! GO ZIPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BEAT VCU!!!!!!!!

That both Men's and Women's are in the MAC Championship Game. Women's: #3 Akron vs #4 Central Michigan, 1:00pm on SportsTime Ohio Men's: #1 Akron vs #2 Ohio, 6:30pm on ESPN2 LETS GO ZIPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Out of the three other teams remaining, this is Akron's best chance to make it to the MAC Championship game. It's also not set in stone that Toledo will beat Central Michigan tomorrow either. As of now, Toledo isn't ranked nationally. They got pulled out of top 25 even after beating Ball State by 30. So for now, they're not nationally ranked. Toledo fans do believe that they will face us in MAC Championship game if they beat CMU...
