  4. The sad part was, Miami didn't even play well...and for a score at halftime be 11-24 is totally ...oops...sorry...singletary had chance to keep Can't the victory, and of course, it "punched" him back in the mouth...
  5. Miami(OH) 55Can't State 53 F/OT
  6. singletary turned it over with 5 seconds left..seems wrapped up now

  9. thanks a bunch. hope I see quite a few zips fans thereI'm hoping they'll all be in the JAR watching the women play against Can't State.I will be at the JAR...Just hoping that there's outlets or something so us students can do what we do best every day: multi tasking A lot of us are willing to bring laptops(really only need one or two), so we can go wild on can't read can't write can't state and watch Men's at Ohio as well...by the way, here's a quote from a can't student that i graduated with in high school last year:"cant wait to transfer next year i absolutely hate Can't state they are stupid lazy retards!!!!!!!" Thought that might make us feel all better...
  10. Congratulations to Teal Bunbury and now he's on his way to the MLS SuperDraft combine this weekend with the MLS Draft being held 2pm on ESPN2 on January 14th.http://www.mac-hermann-trophy.org/index.html
  11. "My biggest concern with listings like this is that it provides validation to the major college soccer scene and the coaches that inhabit it. Neither Wake nor UVA teams showed anything remotely resembling good soccer in the final four. And, despite Paul Gardner's favorable comments about UNC in their semi against Akron, I wasn't favorably disposed to the Tarheels play either. Akron was the only team that attempted and often played skillful entertaining soccer. While their speed of play may have been a bit much, overall they were by far the best of the four----which raises a question in my mind as to whether the big problem (and it is massive) with college soccer is predominantly with the major schools. Could it be that the ability of the major schools to sign the biggest and most athletic players means that the smaller schools have to resort to signing real soccer players and they end up actually playing real soccer??? "http://myespn.go.com/s/conversations/show/story/snet-719595Any thoughts?
  12. Key there is espn. ESPN midmajor recruiting updates are woefully inadequate. To get a clear picture of mid-major recruiting you need to access ESPN, Scout and Rivals. Even then you miss some people. I can assure you however, that all of the players listed above have offers from Akron.thanks you...of course, im new here, and i just don't know the force of the sources quite yet
  13. Keith Dambrot said that at Zips Live tonight, that he will play nine guys at least every night, sometimes 12 players when he needs to play that deep(ex:Wyoming). I don't think they'll run us out at the end tommorow...we'll have enough bodies, just wondering if those bodies can play great basketball tommorow...that's the question...
  14. This just got posted a half an hour ago..http://www.ohio.com/sports/80655952.html
  15. I believe that this is the first game of "Bracketbusters" in 2010...it's a big game for both teams toward a ncaa tourney resume for seeding, bid,,yada yada yada...all that "stuff"I will be as loud as i was in Cary, North Carolina. How bout everyone else?
  16. according to espnu/espn rise there has been no consideration from Taylor,Trice, or Simpson...i know from reading other threads on here, but they don't know...if they could just let people update them on this...it keeps saying they're updated a day before i look at it...
  17. The ones that care about basketball sure are. It's going to be real rowdy and real loud....i promise you that.+1... there may only be about 100 ak-rowdies attending(about 500 declined)and about 200 maybes, the place WILL be rocking form a student perspective...I WILL promise you that...
  18. thanks for tthe reminder...
  19. George Mason board says his offers are Hawaii and San Jose St. Think we can end this thread. yeah, never going to trust ESPNU recruiting ever again...so im trying my own for 2011 class...let me know if i messed up there or not...just wanted to get some feedback on these topics...
  20. With class of 2010 pretty much amongst and past us, I decided to get an early start on the 2011 class considering Akron. We're competing with some big schools for these players(except 1). I'm not saying that we should get these players. but just to see that they are considering Akron is something.6-1 PG Dylan Ennis Lake Forest Academy(IL) Verbal commitment to Akron ----------------------------------------------------------------------6-5 195 SF Markus Crider Wayne(OH) considering:Akron, Dayton, Notre Dame, Wisconsin, and Providence ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------6-3 SG Perry Henry South Charleston(WV) considering: Akron, Marshall, West Virginia, Xavier, and Virginia Techhttp://wvgazette.com/Sports/SouthCharleston/200905280890 http://www.saturdaygazettemail.com/Sports/...ts/200911080511 http://wvgazette.com/Sports/PrepSports/200912050489 http://www.charlestondailymail.com/Sports/...ts/200912230762 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------6-3 PG Remy Abell Eastern H.S.(KY) considering: Akron, Wright State, Marshall and Morehead State ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------And one 2012 player considering Akron:6-4 200 SF Dylan Kaufman Hiland(OH) considering: Ohio,Akron, Miami(OH), and Eastern Michiganhttp://www.hilandbasketball.com/Stats.html---------------------------------------------------------------------------Any thoughts on these players, and how many scholarships we have and who we should give them to.
  21. that scouting report was...WOW The only thing that could of made it more creepy was if they mentioned the AK-Rowdies and started naming the officers and what our chants are...i would of been scared to go after that
  22. article about Wyoming basketball tonight vs. Akronhttp://www.laramieboomerang.com/articles/2...9b072154324.txt
  23. ESPNU has him rated an "82" on their scale and has considering Georgetown,Miami(FL), and Akron.
  24. Dontae is rated 85 on ESPNU recruiting and is undeclared right now. He's a SG according to him. He has three choices according to ESPNU as of 12/28/09, which are Georgetown, Miami(FL) and Akron. I believe he'll proably go to either Georgetown or Miami(FL) unless he sees something in Akron. Akron may look more of an interior team with Marshall,McKnight brothers, and ssignings of Euton and Egner(at least a balanced team). He seemed to be interested in guard-oriented teams(no suprise), and was wondering what everyone else thought...
