I'm a freshman at UA, and coming into this year I had absolutely no interest in soccer. I simply dismissed it as an inferior and lame sport. My friend dragged me along to the MSU game midseason and I was fascinated by the sport. The physicality of it blew my mind. I'd always assumed soccer players were soft. I attended quite a few more games the rest of the season and ended up going to NC. Those two games emotion wise rank right up there with other emotional highs and lows that I've experienced as a CLE sports fan such as the 07 ALCS, the past couple years of Cavalier playoffs, etc. I personally haven't experienced that kind of emotion watching the other Zips sports. Hopefully, that will come in the next few years, but as for me I want nothing more than to wear a 2010 NCAA men's soccer champions shirt next year! Hope my rambling made some sense. Go Zips!!

I wanted to find some nice Zips Soccer apparel after the unbelievable season they had, but all I could find was a boring hoodie. Where's the College Cup gear?

I was curious how much money there is to be made in the MLS and the results shocked me. A Reuters story reported, "Stuart Holden, a 24-year-old U.S international and one of the top midfielders in MLS this season with Houston, earns a salary of under $35,000 from the league while Salt Lake’s top scorer Robbie Findley with 18 goals in 27 regular season games and the equaliser in Sunday’s final, this year earned just $72,000." And of course the rookies are making even less. Why would you forgo a free college education for a middle class salary at best. Am I missing something? Is there a lot of money in endorsements?

Who is the front-runner to replace him?

I know that Zemanski is gone, but I was wondering if anyone had any news about Bunbury or Ampi leaving for the MLS? If we can keep this team together for another year...LOOK OUT!

I called down to the ticket office about an hour ago, and they said that there was a very slim chance that the general public would get their hands on the tickets. She made it sound like the season ticket holders would get most of them. Any of you guys know if it's possible to become a season ticket holder for next year and get ticket priority for the Cup? I want to go to NC so bad!!

How can they be spoken for if they haven't gone on sale yet?

All of the general admission for the College cup is sold out. So if you are planning, like I am, to head down there if the Zips beat Tulsa, then you better hope you get one of those 300 tickets. Anyone know how many college cup packages they are selling??
