  1. Michigan fans are pompous assholes.
  2. My point is, in our league, the TE position means precious little. That is all. I have not done the research on this topic, but I would imagine the top producing TEs in recent MAC history have not played on the top teams. It is my contention that the more formations a MAC team utilizes without the TE on the field correlates positively with offensive production and number of wins.
  3. Real quick. . . the best tight ends in the MAC in the past 5 years?
  4. Josh McNeil. 7 catches for 37 yards. Not sure what you were seeing in this kid other than stars and this board has definitively determined how much stars matter, but if anyone would like to belabor that point for the next 3 pages, feel free to do so for the 57th time.
  5. I don't like that article at all.
  6. Everyone pooh poohed it at the time, but PJ's New Traditions have obviously resonated with recruits. http://deadspin.com/western-michigan-coach-demonstrates-new-traditions-in-1250884633
  7. I was just checking out Athlon's MAC preview and saw that according to 247 Sports (I know, they don't know anything, but let's not turn this thread into another rating services debate) the top incoming freshmen are as follows: 1. Matthew Falcon, RB, Western Michigan 2. Tony Poljan, QB, Central Michigan 3. Stefan Claiborne, S, Western Michigan 4. Spencer Kanz, OL, Western Michigan 5. Armani Posey, DB, Bowling Green 6. Matt Little, QB, Western Michigan 7. Tristian Pipp, LB, Western Michigan 8. Eric Rogers, LB, Western Michigan 9. Keevon Harris, ATH, Ohio 10. Dontre Boyd, CB, Western Michigan Western with 7 of the top 10 rated freshmen? Pretty impressive for a school that blows.
  8. Mentions of the man. . . http://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/news/2016/jun/14/Antonio-Gates-Chargers-Jatavis-Melvin-Gordon/ http://www.chargers.com/news/2016/06/08/draft-class-outing-petco-park-bonds-bolts-rookies
  9. I knew you wouldn't be able to stay away.
  10. OU blows.
  11. They probably need to be set straight too, but they are relatively new as well. Since the Cincinnati-Xavier basketball brawl in 2011, (some) Musketeer fans have used #zipemup as their rallying cry. Probably not the greatest hashtag to be confused with. For those who have forgotten:
  12. I hear ya, but the chances of that happening are slim & none and Slim just left town. In today's America, accountability is an antiquated concept that sometimes gets mentioned by old farts like you and me. I was on a monthly donation schedule which lapsed under the watch of our dear leader, Dr. Scarborough. A better man than I probably would have made a call to the U and reupped despite the slow motion train wreck that was occurring, but I didn't. It is certainly something that I should do now, but I haven't. I have a feeling there are a few dozen stories like mine on this board. The tagline above your avatar isn't the only balancing act UA supporters struggle with. My cynical and jaded head often barks "who cares?" but then my heart whispers "you do".
  13. My donor altar call didn't get many amens. I figured as much.
  14. With these good tidings, is everyone ready to write a check to the University? We really need donors to step up since they stepped out in protest of the Scar.
  15. At the very least, I don't think Tress was the wrong guy.
  16. Is UA going to auction off the olive jar?
  17. I think you are mixing him up with Abreu. Tree's absence in his Senior year hurt but not near as much as Abreu's. The Zips coulda made some noise that year.
  18. Looking forward to meeting you, Sir.
  19. Mr. Burkhart, it's "eat 'em up" but we'll let that one slide since you're new and all. Welcome to the family.
  20. What will happen to the Q when LBJ buys the Cavs and moves them to Akron? Monster Jam?
  21. In recent years, the two hardest hits have go to Conor Hundley on the Miami LB and to Shawn Lemon on the blindside of the Kent QB.
  22. Hall of Fame post.
