Absolutely false... few assistant coaches make $400,000. the highest being Jankovich ($700,000) at SMU... why -- no idea, but you can always expect him to be left in charge when Larry Brown leaves... because Larry always leaves.. i.e. Payne at Kentucky makes $350,000 plus a bonus of $85,000 last yr... The Michigan assistants have all had their pay bumped to around $200,000.... which seems to be the current market My guess is there are not 20 guys making $300,000... many TOP programs are probably in the $150,00 - $175,000 range
