1 photo a a person wearing OSU is too many. I'm happy for the girl, just show some love for UA. Not other schools. I'm probably overreacting but I just hate that school.

All I've seen is photos of her wearing OSU shirts. Very disappointing that a former dance team member supporting another school more than her own. Especially since I'm sure a lot of people in the Akron community voted for her. You don't see Jason Taylor online posting "GO BUCKS!" every day. But hey, I guess UA "doesn't count as a school" right?

What about a giant logo like this? Just a huge metallic gold Z or the side of a matte blue hemet.

I think about it this way. There are only a handful of football helmets that are truly unique. We are the only football team in the country, at any level, that can use this design. It could easily work on any color helmets we want down the road, blue, white, or traditional gold. If it is kept around for years it become our signature style. Similar to the Vikings, Rams, Bengals, Eagles, etc. Even if you're not sold on the design now, you have wonder what people thought of those iconic helmets. You think at first people loved the idea of tiger stripes or viking horns on a helmet?

Yes, I'm sure they'll wear the other 3 jerseys from last season. I was just hoping they would retire the black uniforms.

Saw that the basketball team had a video shoot today. All players were wearing the black jerseys from last season. I was hoping we'd go back to blue/gold, but I guess the black is here to stay...

FBS is already adding too many teams that nobody cares about. UTSA, Texas State, UMass, etc. No need for any more.

I've watched the replay of the 4th down pass several times and still can't tell what happened. It's clear D'Orozio fell, but why? I find it odd he would just fall on his own but I didn't see the Michigan player trip him. Or maybe the ball was just overthrown and he fell trying to stretch for the catch? Michigan could have won by 50 and OSU fans would still say this.

I'm not one to blame refs. We had plenty of chances to win that game. Having said that if Akron had won after a questionable call, I guarantee the Big10 would be taking a long look at this game. What can be done now? Absolutely nothing. All we can do is move on and hope our Zips give us another performance to be proud of next week.

Next week's game will be one of the biggest of the Bowden era. Not because of who we play, but because of what it could mean for the program. We need to send a message. Everyone will be watching the Zips to see if this team is really different. If we stomp ULL it will create some real buzz about the Zips. If we lose, well then people will forget all about the Michigan game. I just want to see a big crowd on Saturday and people get excited about something at Infocision Stadium.

If anything I think today's game should send a message to NE Ohio to support this team. Is it really much to ask to get 30k out to watch them next week?

Too much field with not enough time...

Crazy how the momentum shifted in Michigan's favor after we scored. Since then we haven't been able to make a stop. Even with this loss I think it's a positive heading into the next game. If they can play at this level all season we can win a couple games.

Very disappointing two drives there. We needed to put some points on the board. Try to to get too excited remember the Tennesse game. We were tied at half and they ran away with it. Have to think Michigan will come out swinging in the 2nd half.

Honestly, I would have more faith in last year's team heading into this game. I feel like our offense isn't playing as well as we saw last season. While the defense is about the same. If the defense shows up for this game it might stay close.

Agree completely. Crowd noise will be the least of our worries. Our defense got torn apart by a FCS school last week. As much as I want to stay positive, this is going to be a very lopsided game.
