Meh, the fact that somebody was a McDonald's All American doesnt mean much to me. We have already played one of them this year in Marcus Smart (projected to go top 5 in draft, btw) and we did just fine against him. In fact, Abreu scored only 1 less point than him.

OK so OSU has an advantage at 2 yes, 2 positions. Thomas is a volume scorer and Craft is no offensive threat at all. Give me Zeke and Treadwell over the scrubs like Ravenel and Williams. Give me Walsh over Sam Thompson or Lenzelle, or whatever bum that Matta wants to throw out there that cant hit a jump shot to save his life. Also, give me the depth Akron has over OSU. NOBODY HAD OU GOING TO THE SWEET 16 AND TAKING UNC TO OT. If we make the dance guys, we should just decline the bid. I dont think anybody thought OU (besides their fans maybe) had a chance against UM last year. You play the game for a reason. There is parity in college bball this year. A good chance for whoever the MAC representative is to make some noise again.

OSU is not what they have been the past few years. One scorer they can rely on in Thomas. Thats good for us, but then we dont have that "lock down defender", unless Harney would step up like he did against OU. Craft would give Abreu problems. He is one of the best defenders in the country. We have a much more balanced attack, and more depth, IMO. Bigs have a huge advantage over them. It would be a good game, and if we upset them, it would be EPIC.

I guess its too bad the "taxpayer" in Maryland didnt support the 9 sports Maryland had to cut due to the athletic department being in the dump. Mid-major schools schedule those 1 million dollar a** spankings because they frankly need the money.

We played Indiana last year? News to me. We won 3 games in 3 years. That "marginal" UCF team won 10 games last year. Judging by the knowledge you already displayed, it is probably safe to assume that you have no idea Kansas only won one game last season (South Dakota St). I see no evidence they would beat us at all, let alone 4 touchdowns.

It is always in the best interests for Akron to root for the rest of the MAC during out of conference games.

I understand we have a target on our back, and are going to get our opponent's best game nightly, but I just have trouble giving credit to teams that arent good.

A win is a win, but some work needs done. We cant keep coming out flat or we will be upset by a team that we shouldnt be upset by.
