Right On! At this point of the season, this shtuff is not even entertainment! This is business now! I have difficulty enjoying these matches from the stands. National Championship is my only consideration. Whichever matchup gets me there is what I want. I could not care one wit about which coach or which player did what way back when. Frankly, I am surprised that some of you care about such things. I want the weakest schedule possible on the way to capturing the College Cup. There are no * in the record books.

Zips looked sharp, but could not finish with neither Brenes nor Koroma available. I love him, but Schmitt is most effective off the bench. Abdul-Salaam subbed in at about 60 minutes. (Verify that statistic.) But what really got things flowing was Quinn, who had begun at MF, subbed in at CF, where he has not seen time since last season. Things just starting happening. Porter just knows who to plug where. We scored two quick goals. Abdul-Salaam's goal was a thing of beauty. This kid will be special.

Derschang is a 6 ft. physical guy who runs and tackles well. At the beginning of the season, he seemed like a good sub off the bench @ Forward. Porter's genius is finding unlikely slots for quality players. Roster is willing to play a position they perhaps have never played before, just because they trust Porter. That, and they want into the first 11.

Coach Porter said Reinaldo and Aodhan were held out of the WMU game with minor ding type injuries Gallego got a little dinged up in WMU game and missed the last 45 minutes I don't remember Gallego being subbed out of the WM game ? When Gallego went out at HT, we pretty much went to the lineup I suggested at the beginning of this thread. Souders hangs too far back when playing HMF anyway. May just as well play him at CB where he likes it.

For me, Derschang has that LB spot nailed down, the rest of this year and next year as well. His left footed crosses are fantastic. And dude is fast!
