I'm ok with the long pass here and there, but I agree. It seems as if they go to the long ball to often trying to make a quick strike down the field and more often than not, we lose the ball to the opposition having to chase down the ball wasting more energy. Najem's goal was very similar to the second one in Cleveland St. if I recall correctly as in played to the top of the box from Salaam.

it's really not until the Playhouse Square crowd walks in after a show while you're watching a Columbus Crew match and they wonder what the hell is all this soccer stuff happening on all the televisions (this really happened). I say Becky's, it's closer.

I'm quite disappointed with the loss to Hartwick. I just want to vent to you Akronites. On another note, someone please tell @zipsmsoc on twitter to quit mentioning number of shots 10 times a game. the stat means nothing if you can't place one in the net. they seem to have illusions this warrants a win or something. I've missed to many games this season, but by what I've seen and read, this squad is in desperate need of a threat up top. The answer is not Brenes and never should have been considered to carry the load. Embick is a quality coach, but the one thing that worried me about him was if he could bring out the very best in our players. Very few coaches can succeed in bringing passion and heart to their players and now you see why Porter is one of the best you'll never see again in Akron. I will be there in Cleveland this Wednesday vs CSU. Drinks on me. Go Zips!
