  1. Television: beIN Sports 9:30pm (Only available on Direct TV and Dish Network) Viewing Party: Ray's Pub in Highland Square w/AO Akron Mattocks appeared in the final 10-20 minutes against Mexico 0-1 loss Tuesday. Jamaica is going to be scratching and clawing for points tonight.
  2. It was a pathetic game overall top to bottom. Wahl has been pretty consistent on the left all season. It will be interesting to see what changes Warzycha makes. The only change I prefer is to have Warzycha shipped out of town.
  3. Either way, Barson could get his second consecutive start tonight against Philly. Josh Williams calf injury status for tonight is up in the air.
  4. I'm still waiting for the day Warzycha is gone. No worries, I can't stand Bobby ball. But I've also been a Crew fan before the days of Warzycha head coaching duties. At least they have Higuain, he's a fantastic player to watch, but seems to be so alone on the field to often.
  5. I wouldn't take it as insult. You can't blame Gehrig for something he might not know. I assume he's referring to Crew training. Josh Williams is a fantastic player.
  6. I was certainly entertained and I definitely had a fantastic time. Going into the match, I knew it was going to be difficult from the beginning. Missing players like Bradley, Fabian Johnson, and Danny Williams who are key to the US success. US Soccer still lacks depth in top quality talent and it showed Wednesday evening, but they played strong for 60 minutes. It was 1-1 at the half. It could've been worse. As a West Brom follower, Lukaku is a beast. Overall, I certainly like to see a better performance, but it's also a Friendly. Lots of goals, but in the wrong net. I had a grand time. I wonder what the response would be if it was a 0-0 draw from the average fans. Aside from all that, NE Ohio and other surrounding areas proved their is a market for soccer. 27,720. That's remarkable for a Wednesday evening Friendly, competing against a Tribe game, and not against one of the central america teams that always have lots of traveling support. http://www.cleveland.com/ohio-sports-blog/..._special-report
  7. I plan to attend this match, but of course as a Crew fan. As a bonus, don't forget Flogging Molly is playing after the match in the stadium. http://www.thecrew.com/floggingmolly
  8. The debut for Chad Barson and the almost debut for Wil Trapp.
  9. Wil Trapp, Dillon Serna, and Koroma included on the U20 roster for the Toulon Tournament in France, May 28th. The final preparation before going to Turkey for the U20 World Cup. http://www.topdrawersoccer.com/college-soc...nament_aid28817
  10. Don't think so, he's been playing for Tigres as they were just knocked out of the Liga MX playoffs a few days ago. Surely he will be on the Gold Cup squad in July.
  11. ESPN2 8pm ET Belgium is currently on top of their group, tied on points with Croatia. UEFA WCQ Table 5 players from the BPL. Guzan, Howard, Dempsey, Cameron, and Shea. 14. Warzycha turns to youth with O'Rourke out against Rapids An opportunity for Wil Trapp to get his MLS debut this Saturday. Hoping Warzycha makes the right decision and not choosing his son. Trapp and Sanchez are the two best choices.
  15. Tough break for Zarek, at least he's getting quality playing time, which is much needed. Montreal defense has been stellar in the first month of MLS. Is Josh Gatt still playing in the Norwegian league? same age I think. USA vs Mexico tonight........intense and wow! 1-23-2 overall record on Mexico soil. I will take the point. My hero is Guzan.
  16. I hope everyone is stoked in the NE Ohio area to see USA vs Belgium in Cleveland, May 29th. With 3 World Cup Qualifiers to follow in June, we should see a USMNT A squad against a quality Belgium roster still in qualifying, Fellaini, Hazard, and Benteke. U.S. Men’s National Team to Host Belgium on May 29 at FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland

  21. I recall the farewell party as well and spoke to Michael about his situation. I asked him straight up if he was going to Portland to join Porter. He smiled, laughed, and said I probably shouldn't be talking about this.
  22. 10 Days until the MLS season kicks off. I created a MLS Fantasy League. Pick your best 11 or 11 best Zips. http://fantasy.mlssoccer.com/my-leagues/15...-code=7705-1563 CODE: 7705-1563

  24. Going to be a fun year of soccer in Ohio. US-Mexico qualifier will be played in Columbus. I sense a bus trip from Akron to Columbus.
  25. Speaking of staff, I read yesterday from AFC Cleveland's supporter group. AFC Cleveland Head Coach and University of Thiel Head Coach, Andy Hoggarth was hired on as an assistant to Jared Embick's staff. I have seen no official report from any other sources though or either organization. EDIT: Officially announced Assistant Coach of the WOMEN's Soccer Program. http://www.gozips.com/sports/wsoc/2013-14/.../20130220u6f123
