  1. I will back that up, although I have not seen many of the matches this season. But I would have said before the season started. Gallego should be the leader and backbone. The Zips go as far as Gallego leads them on the field.
  2. so what was the foul that lead to St John's PK? I have failed to find anything on it today. Anyone see it?
  3. Only one place to watch the mighty USMNT. Ray's Pub 816 W Market St.
  4. Was not able to make it out last night but seen on twitter Fives, Ruhaak, Seremba, Cross, Gravatt, Caso, Foldesy and Grant received some time in the second half. How did they look? Especially the new recruits. Curious what the new kids might bring to the team maybe later in the season.
  5. fknbuflobo, good one to ask, I was at that game where he came in as a second half sub for his first match of the season. Interesting he's a Zip. I figured he was possibly a CSU recruit. Good body control, stays on his feet, good vision is what I got from him in his 15 minutes vs DCFC. He looked a little out of place on the field with AFC Cleveland, unsure of the strategic movements. Language seem to be a bit of difficulty too.
  6. Started a BPL Akron Fantasy Soccer League for those who are interested. Here is the link to the league and use the code to enter 412455-205946. Season kicks off next weekend, so be sure to join before then. May the best team win.
  7. Portland will get nothing. This is the Dempsey rule. Seattle will not need to go through the allocation process because Dempsey will be considered a Designated Player is what I have read.
  8. On my way to the USA Gold Cup watch party in Akron Wednesday, I happened to catch DeAndre Yedlin on SiriusXM FC Counter Attack radio show. Nice interview, talked about Akron, Porter, and his MLS experience. Here's a short bit of the interview https://soundcloud.com/siriusxmsports/deand...in-sea-sounders
  9. A few international friendly dates in November. I have not heard of any rumors of who the USMNT are playing yet. Or surely a January/February Camp Cupcake. Yedlin's time will come if he continues to excel. Yedlin and Sarkodie have the best opportunity because the position is lacking the most. For Z.I.P. Bobby Wood's name has been coming up a lot in my 1860 Munich feed. Hope the kid stays healthy. He has a real chance to make the starting eleven this year. Rumor is Klinsmann called him into the Gold Cup, but 1860 requested he stay.
  10. Great story from the Columbus Dispatch today on Wil Trapp and nice artwork too. Crew: Hometown hero draws a crowd
  11. Don't think it will sell out, but GO CREW!
  12. I'm going to get to work on this. I hope he starts.
  13. 10 Uncapped Yanks Who Could Go to the World Cup. Nice mentions for Sarkodie and Yedlin.
  14. Fair reasoning, but do any of the other clubs put out that kind of info. I don't follow other clubs, so I don't know. Other than the reserve squad, I don't see much info across the board in MLS. To be fair, I don't think it draws that much interest to the general public. I recommend following Crew Youth on Facebook or Crew Soccer Academy on Twitter if you're looking for updates on youth matches.
  15. Noticed it here - Crew Juniors U-19s claim fourth-straight USYS State Cup
  16. Andrian McAdams has joined Shaun Docking and transfered to Costal Carolina Not sure on the rest, but currently playing with developmental clubs. Kayvon Afsarifard out on the West Coast with Sport Club Orange County. A new U23 developmental league. Seen this live last Friday evening. Chase Jabbori played a few minutes for Detroit City FC against AFC Cleveland. (Tommy Schmitt scored the first goal in a 3-2 loss to Detroit City FC) On a side note, happen to see Fernando Pina, Phil Fives, and Matt Foldesy are also with the Crew Academy along with Souders. Have those three always been with the Crew Academy?
  17. US U20 stole a point in 85' against France to finish in a 1-1 draw. Wil Trapp was selected as captain with Stanko on the bench. It will come down to a match against Ghana this Thursday to escape a very tough group. Another win or go home situation against Ghana in the World Cup. Can the U20s break the curse?
  18. I'm pretty sure the school is Barcelona's youth academy. Maybe not shocked, Spain are the favorites, but thought the US could have played a better match and kept the scoreline down. When your in the group of death, goal differential could be the deciding factor if you make it out of the group or not. The US defense was caught to often sleeping and beat on counter attacks. US U20 WC Player Rankings from Top Drawer EDIT:
  19. The US U-20 high defensive back line is getting destroyed by Spain. 3-0 at the half.
  20. DeAndre Yedlin made his debut in a 3-1 match against Portugal. U-20 World Cup begins next week. http://www.ussoccer.com/news/u-20-mnt/2013...-world-cup.aspx 2:15 - Portugal taking a quick nap
  21. Missed this article the other day on Kofi Sarkodie Why not Kofi? Houston Dynamo make case for right back Kofi Sarkodie to earn a shot with USMNT
  22. Teal Bunbury made his first appearance this evening in a 1-0 loss to Orlando City SC in US Open Cup. Came off the bench in the 76' I guess Sporting KC will not be repeating as US Open Cup Champions. Oops!
  23. This article should help answer your question. Winding roads leads former Copley standout Josh Williams to MLS
