Teal Bunbury and Darren Mattocks are great forwards....but the writer does not even have Steve Zakuani listed as a reserve. How can Steve Z not be on the team? and no arguments with the great Perry Kitchen and Wil Trapp as the center midfielders..... but I have to have Scott Caldwell in the starting lineup rather than Dillon Serna. I know that Scott is a center mid rather than an outside guy....but he is probably the smartest soccer mind that has taken the field for the zips and he won a national championship for our beloved school.

Looking forward to the regular season starting. VCU only played 1 exhibition game. They lost 1-0 yesterday to NC State. Old Dominion had 2 exhibition games. They tied Navy 1-1 and tied Bill and Mary 2-2. After losing 4-1 to Akron, Oakland came back yesterday to play #18 Louisville to a 0-0 draw. Bradley had played 2 exhibition games before playing Akron. Bradley battled Marquette to a 3-3 tie and they lost 3-0 to Creighton. Go, Zips!!!

Ken Lolla's Louisville team is playing at Oakland tonight. Oakland is playing them tough. 0-0 after 67 minutes In Lousville's prior exhibition, Louisville and UAB battled to a 3-3 draw.
