  1. http://www.gozips.com/sports/msoc/2012-13/.../2012112543170p I just watched the press conference. I am sitting here crying. I want to thank Coach Porter for 7 wonderful years. He has put his heart and soul into this program. He has positively affected the lives of so many young men. Akron has been blessed to have Coach Porter and his family as part of the University community and also as part of the city of Akron. As an alumni, Coach Porter has brought great pride to the University that Akron U. can compete and defeat the best teams. As someone who grew up in the area, I greatly admire Coach Porter for repeatedly saying that Akron is a great place to live and raise a family. Coach Porter has been unbelievably generous in his support of the AK rowdies. Caleb Porter is a champion on and off the field and he is a classy human being. I wish he and his family much happiness in the next stage of his career. I would be very remiss if I did not also thank the 4 incredible seniors on this year's team. Their success in the classroom is outstanding and I want to thank them for staying for 4 years and giving this Akron fan a lifetime of memories.

  7. the radio guys said Dillon Serna collided with a Creighton player....and has not been back in the game radio guys have been a little critical of Eric Stevenson for taking too many shots as Akron tries to keep possession and save time

  20. soccer can be a cruel game.... but it is not random...or only determined by lapses time of possession, precision passing, more corner kicks, excellent defensive players, more shots on goals, mid fielders that see the entire field and make fine passes, far side backs with speed that make good passes into the box, forwards that can clear space for their own shots, a goalie that is having a good year, a coach with a solid and dependable game plan....all factor into predictions... you can see that the zips....do well in all those categories JR Eskilson correctly predicted that the zips would beat Michigan and Louisville in 2010 final four... He has already predicted Zips in the final four
  21. http://www.topdrawersoccer.com/college-soc...-round_aid28119 the college soccer professor....predicts an Akron win and a loss by Connecticut....
  22. I am guessing that the kid from UCLA must have had 11 brothers and sisters. UCLA soccer fans are not that passionate. I think that the kids's family was heavily involved in the voting
  23. you guys did an amazing job.... great job by all of you that voted hundreds or thousands of times
  24. Louisville and Indiana attendance really surprise me....
