  1. My issue with the MAC Kent State decision is that their Decision has now made the video more than what it was. Before the their statement No One was checking for that video. Now their decision has made the Video Viral smh. I rep #MACtion but please believe I can't stand #MACtion Should a stayed quiet and let them kids play it out on the court. It's a bitter rivalry for christ sake.
  2. Floor seats going for $200 Wish I could be there Bummer
  3. I wish but that hasn't happened since 1999. The committee will be Pro Big Ten letting teams like Michigan in
  4. Biggest Win for Groce so far in his tenure
  5. An at large bid for a MAC team that dosen't require an up front payment? Lol never in our lifetime will we see that. No one cares about our shitty conference. Commish included (outside of football)
  6. Losing starters especially PGs during the final weeks of the season. Been down this road before. I wonder how our former Amazon Prime Weed Delivery PG is doing these days
  7. The MAC hasn't had an At Large Bid since Miami of Ohio in 1999. Unjust to hold that against KD which is why he left. Not his fault Cedrick Middleton can't make a free throw. Not his fault the MAC as a whole dosen't speak up and defend their conference from getting screwed annually by the selection committee only giving a damn about Football $$$. I can't stand the MAC and going 26–7 (13–3) without even a phone call from the NIT is the prime reason why.
  8. Folks in here really writing off our winningest coach in School history. I see why he left Unbelievable smh
  9. Yeah nice accomplishments outside the MAC in a Power 5 Conference where an average record still gets you an at large
  10. Until we have a coach that accomplishes more than KD You wont hear nothing bad about him from me. Yal'l have fun with that
  11. Looks like its Akron vs Buffalo Thursday
  12. Also UMBC's old arena which they still have and now use for Intramural sports is set up just like the JAR
  13. Give me this in Downtown Akron I live 10 minutes from UMBC. Knew an assistant on the staff that upset VA in the NCAA Tourney who is now on that same staff at Utah State. Opened in 2018 i have attended many games including my son attending basketball camps there the past 5 years. Aside from the empty side I love the layout. 4,654 (basketball) 5,500 (concerts) Wild how that arena looks much bigger than the JAR but seats less Also there is an auxiliary gym/practice court in the basement. UMBC is a 13,000-student university
  14. Nice arena but like the JAR I hate the mid level track because it pushes the upper level too far from the court. It's a different world up there.
  15. I believe folks are thinking too small. Look at where the University as a whole is located. Akron is currently a rust belt city with little to nothing to offer in regards to attracting anyone and thats the problem. Which is why it makes sense to build a "city" arena. Hell Lebron remodeling the Tangier Restaurant which will feature a sports bar one could argue is the best thing going on right now for Akron in regards to redevelopment which will attract people to come to the city. It's time to move on from the JAR. Either rebuild from scratch on the same lot or build downtown.
  16. This reminds me of the debate on if we should build at the time one of the largest on campus Rec Centers in the country vs what our enrollment was back then. 17 years later would you say the Rec Center has been a success?
  17. Well.....We are still in a pandemic and at the end of the day the layout of the JAR sucks.
  18. Not including the car rental which is currently ridiculous like Gas prices
