Keener has a good point about DW13 and KP16 apparently having similar styles; and this is counter to the typical 2-QB systems that have success. But I also think the way the head coach handles the situation can be a deciding factor as well. Obviously DW13 is only here for one year, so I would hope that when KP16 does play and makes a few mistakes he (KP16) would be permitted to “play through” some of them. I’m confidant TB will be able to read when KP16 needs to tough it out and when he needs to sit. If you think about it, unless something pretty unusual happens, the outcomes of the 1st four games are fairly predictable. Is there really any negative to playing both of them during this stretch anyway?
CK, I recall thinking at the time that LO must have decided well beforehand that he was going to play many guys at all positions, including QB, that day. Now when you start the game off reasonably competitive, you’d think a head coach might be a little flexible versus his original game plan. But I guess not!
