  1. akronzip12345, every post you've made on this board reeks of being a Can't fan. You aren't fooling anyone.
  2. Alright I've been home for a while and will try to give an unbiased account of what I saw.NcNees fouls Q in the corner, Q shoves Mcnees hard at the end of the foul (Technical Foul). Milum shoves (Technical Foul) Q away from McNees, which excalates the whole thing. The Can't students begin throwing whatever they have at the Akron players, including towels, water/soda bottles, coins, and other things. One elderly Can't fan in the front row across from the students got hit right in the face with what looked like a full bottle of water (Lawsuit). She received medical attention in her seat. Can't fans can say Akron has no class as much as they want, but their behavior was completely unacceptable. Every cheer they have includes a work that begins with F and ends in CK. Throwing things at the opposing team, and in the process, drilling your own fans (classless, and no accuracy). It's fine to love your school and team, but when you start endangering the safety of the opposing team and their/YOUR fans, that's just pathetic. If the tables were turned and the AKRowdies had done this, I'd be equally ashamed, probably more.As for the officiating, I had a bad feeling what happened was coming after halftime. Akron couldn't look at a Can't State player the wrong way without getting a foul. It's hard to then play defense for fear of racking up even more fouls. The refs were BAD both ways, however. The game had zero flow because of it. It'll be interesting to see how the media reacts to the Can't fan's behavior. Will they ignore it, briefly mention it, or actually shed light on what happened. My guess is the first one...It'll also be interesting to see the Can't Athletic Department's reaction. Lord knows they need to do something, tonight was a PR disaster (students hitting the elderly with bottles).
  3. Singletary got tossed late in the second half for Can't.
  4. Could Can't have found any uglier uniforms to wear??? It looks like a turd got in with the wash.
  5. WAAAAAAHH.....WAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH.........
  6. It started working in the second half. It seems as if they were turning it on and off. They cut it off right when a UB player went down, giving the same error message. As soon as he was up, it was working again.
  7. got he video synced perfectly to French!
  8. Maybe this "physical" game is the reason the video link "isn't working" lol
  9. I'll keep trying and let everyone know if it ends up working.
  10. Same problem here Quickzips.
  11. This is a band box, courtesy of my old high school.
  12. Lol MDZip, I have a similar graphic going. We'll fill the jar up soon enough
  13. Unfortunately, my place of employment also happens to be the radio station that broadcasts Can't basketball, so I'm stuck here listening to their game today.Fortunately, they're getting beat by Buffalo
  14. Great quote from the Miami fan site:"At halftime, we trailed #3 Kansas 39-20.At halftime, we trail Akron 41-19.Wow."
  15. Wow! What a night! We went from a 23-19 defensive festival to a 41-19 halftime bitch-slapping! I LOVE IT!I sat and chatted with a relative (uncle I believe) of Brett McClanahan for a while before the game, the family had made the trip up from Charleston. It was his first game in the JAR and afterwards was smiling from ear to ear. He picked a good night to come up!Also, props to my alma mater Mogadore for not only singing the national anthem, but sitting in the north end student seats and being loud and into the game!
  16. Do any of you people think Dials may have just missed the rim? I've seen people trying to miss the free throw end up making it.
  17. Dials was definitely shooting. I guess we should come to expect these things...
  18. Zips win 79-73!!!
  19. "Hi there."
  20. Nice write-up from the AP website:http://www.apsugovernors.com/ViewArticle.d...DB_OEM_ID=16900Some interesting notes from the article:The loss marked the Govs first loss since the court was renamed Dave Loos Court.Todd Babington’s consecutive games with a three-point basket streak ended at 26 games. The Govs had season lows in three-point baskets made (2) and attempted (10).
  21. I'll be listening!
  22. Zips up 36-32 with about 15 left in the second half. Wood has a double double already with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
  23. Zips lead 46-39 with 11:25 left.
  24. Zips closed the first half on a 16-2 run and lead 32-24 at the midway point. We started slow but looked good to close the half. Dials leads all scorers with 10 points I believe.
  25. I'm here, wide awake, and cheering on the Zips!!
