Any players who would walk away from the opportunity to be coached by Dambrot are crazy and quite frankly don't deserve a spot on his roster. He is a coach who is known for getting the most out of his players but the players have to buy in to the process. Coach rewards those who do as he should it's his program.

I think we are all ready for the next step which is winning a game or two in the NCAA. Even KD has come out and said that. All of us are looking for that to happen this year or next. That would be a valid sign of progression which is something we are all looking for in this conversation.

That's the problem. Too many of you would rather look at the negatives than the positives. The program has made tremendous strides. We've had our shares of wins and losses. Coaches have made mistakes, players have made mistakes and we've lost some games we should have won and vice versa. I would much rather look at the program as a whole and see the progress we are making then pick-a-part what KD has done. The accomplishments he, his staff and his players have had are not something to write off but something to be proud of. It's not like the football "progrum" where we have been mediocre at best. MBB has clearly gotten better every year under KD. The record may not show it, althought 6 straight 20 win seasons is not something to take lightly. The signs are there, the talent is there and the right coach is there. Enjoy the ride instead of always trying to throw nails under the tires.

These comments are starting to get maddening...switch coaches? Inability to win games? These are ridiculous statements. KD has given us wins against Mississippi State (2), Florida State (1), 5 straight MACC appearances, we have gone to 2 NCAA tournaments in the past three years, yet we keep reloading and the team progresses further and further along every year. before Keith the last time we were to the NCAA's was in what '86? Losses to Valpo...we were out shot from the free throw line by over 25 attempts and only lost by 2. Duquesne...we lost Rico and Walsh early to injury. We have one true point guard on the team...everyone knows that if Rico can't go the team can't go...the point guard is the facilitator of the offense and only having one true PG causes for some issues, especially since he has been injured. Keith has done an outstanding job with the program..yes we have had some hiccups along the way but that is why we play a full season to watch the growth to watch the progress. Progress this year has been slowed because of injuries and suspensions. KD has placed his players on suspension because he runs a tight ship. Not many coaches out there are willing to do this...he is which is why I respect him as a man and as a coach. He knows it's a long season and he knows that the early trials and tribulations will pay off at the end of the year.

Not really sure you can accuse Ohio of playing a cupcake schedule., their current SOS is 49 with an RPI of 8. 6 of 14 OOC games are against teams with an RPI currently less than 100. OU is 4-1 so far against these teams with Robert Morris(82) left to play. Lone loss was at Lville(5) by 5, wins were home against Lamar(35) and on the road at Oakland(74), Marshall(44) and Northern Iowa(7). With that being said, the MAC is going to be a grind like it always is. Things like records and RPIs and SOSs don't mean much when you have two teams that are so familiar with each other and have a personal history. Its going to be a grind and its going to be fun. Both scenarios were pretty close, since both coaches came in during a programs turmoil and inherited teams from the previous regime. Bowden went undefeated, and Fickell did nothing. Agreed. Hugo, sorry if seemed like I was attacking you, I wasn't. I am just excited about the leadership change of your football program. Bowden is a proven winner as a head coach at many different levels of competition. This is something to be excited about and something to rejoice not something where we begin looking for reasons to question the hire. Let's get behind him and leave the doubt and old Akron thinking behind. Let's move forward with positive thought. The guy hasn't even coached a down at UA or met the players. I am interested in how he asseses what we have and what he puts in place to give us our best chance to win. I want to see if he puts a system in place that suits the talent. If he does this I will be extremely happy. Ianello tried to force a style on our players who weren't suited for that style leading us to a 2-22 record. I doubt Bowden will make that mistake. failed social media experiment. If they wanted to use social media to beat everyone to the punch, theyre only about 5 hours late to the fight. Such a useless marketing department effort... I don't think they understand how social media and the internet work. I think they're waiting on a full write-up to be written before announcing. You don't need that on Twitter. Just say the coach's name and it's official. Say a write-up is coming later on gozips.com and stop delaying while things snowball out of control. Why? Isn't a frenzy a good thing? The more excitement that can be created the more people talk and the more it builds. There is nothing wrong with building peoples interest. To me, this is working, I doubt it is meant, but it is definitely working. People are talking, people are excited, people I never expected are contacting me. I want snowballs...it is Christmas isn't it?

Stats are nice for making points. But you have to have some understanding of how those stats are relevant to the point you're trying to make. Akron lost under Lee Owens (with Paul as OC) because the Zips could not defend, period. Akron was a blast to watch (and often frustrating to watch) under Lee Owens (with Paul as OC) because they could put up points against virtually anybody. Paul Winters held up his end when he was here. Try again. So, when a business fails, it is automatically 100% the fault of the President, no matter what role the VP or anyone else in the organization played in contributing to the failure? Owens and Winters were the top guys in the leadership of that team. They failed. It's not a fact that can easily just be discarded. It's funny that they got fired after a 7-5 season....today that would be worth a raise and an extension.

I am sure there was no disrespect to Chauncey as people were misspelling Steve McNees on here his entire career. I love the fact that Chauncey is getting more minutes and that he is rewarding the coaches and the fans with his play. He just needs to trust his ability and what Keith is telling him. Keith is a great coach and Chauncey will grow tremendously. I am looking forward to watching the rest of this year and next.
