  1. The Big Roo Machine?
  2. no all the cool kids would get wasted go to the game and then after the game get wasted again. you were obviously never cool you must be what us cool kids call "successfull"HAHA
  3. LAME...no way am i going anywhere near there. I'll be at Whiskey Dicks prior to the game this week as well as tailgating. Whiskey Dicks has some pretty good beer/liquor deals and they actually seem to somewhat care about Zips athletics so they will get my money, not the crappy BH where Suckeyes fans rule.
  4. I joke about star wars all the time and it doesn't make me dagobaphobic.Honestly, the real problem isn't the jokes, it's the power that people let the joke have over them. If you learned to laugh it off and be like "you know what, i'm not, but some people are" it would take the power away from it. Very rarely do you see Jews saying "that joke is anti-semetic" they usually incorporate it into their schtick.Comedy brings acceptance, unfortunately there are way too many sticks in the mud. I was excited about the Gay Games because it means that NEO is actually losing some of it's stigma as being some backwater industrial trashville. I mean look at where these games were held in the past. Mostly progressive areas like San Fran. as a star wars fan i will say that has to be the best post in a long time on here
  5. Our usual home field is Patterson park off of route 8 but due to work being done on it we are playing most of home games this fall at Erie Island Park off of 77 (copley road exit).
  6. No offense taken, but if you check out ClubBaseball.org you will see that many if not most schools that have club teams actually have varsity teams as well. Schools like Akron that have a baseball rich area and many students willing to play have club teams as well. We have had 60 guys and 50 guys try out the last two years respectively so there is definitely much interest. We also give guys that transfer and are looking to walk on at Akron something to fall back on as we have six players that have transferred from D2/D3/NAIA baseball schools. Also if you recognize a few of the people in the pictures, we have guys that are finishing their degrees/going through grad school and have already played D1 baseball here or elsewhere.

  8. It's the Chapel Hill ChickFilA...i just saw it a few days ago.
  9. Homophobia? I dont think we are scared of them, it's more about the jokes being funny. If i was scared i'd be sitting down all the time.
  10. Milking XP to bypass Vista. Looking forward to 7. You should all really look into freeing your computers, your minds, and your wallets from these 1990's era OS limitations.Well i agree somewhat there. Ubuntu aint a bad choice, surely anything is better than a MAC though. I swear MAC users live in this fantasy world where they think it's alright to overpay for things that do less than others. I'll keep my Windows 7 PC though, i like being able to actually play games.
  11. Yeah! Go Grizzlies...great win on Friday of Copley btw.
  12. Schrock is coached by a Dennison, he has Akron infused into him. No worries...and no coach could scare him away.
  13. Now we can officially say that Matt or one of his parents has posted on Zipsnation
  14. Zoom in a little more on mapquest, only that one level of zoom is not the stadium. The closest you can move in shows the stadium under construction.
  15. I just want a damn SOCCER JERSEY!!Why do they not have ANYTHING good?
  16. you know come to think of it it would be fun to come out and watch some club baseball. you know just a bunch of guys playing for the fun of it and because they love the gameThat's what we do. That's our secret to success.
  17. I'm not even going to read it, i'm just assuming it's about that one Can't fraternity coming to Akron or something.
  18. haha funny guys/gals. I really just dont think Rodgers has the ability to do this, that's all i'm saying. And in regards to Club Baseball, you should come out to see a game and see a winner.
  19. Have you graduated yet? If you have you should apply to be a featured comedian next year.Rodgers does not suck. He has no help from his receivers(see Bowser pulling a Braylon Edwards in the first half) or his o-line(see the 0.3 seconds he has after the snap before the pocket collapses). There is a reason he was second string behind Jac.Oh let me get this straight we lost the game because Bowser dropped one pass...no but we did not lose it because of poor play from Rodgers. If you think that surely you're delusional. Our defense was downright awful. But it does not help when one of the few times the coaches call to open up the taps, your top receiver drops a pass thrown right into his gut. Inexcusable.I guess Bowser decided he couldnt continue to be the entire offense. Rodgers made enough mistakes to fill this whole thread with.He cant cut it.And the reason you haven't tried out for the team is what? From the sounds of things you've played D1 NCAA football before. Besides, you're on the club bball team so you should be fit enough. And no, that last sentence wasn't sarcastic.Btw, no i did not play D1 football because i was busy playing college baseball. I am not just "on" the Club Baseball team, I coach it. You really shouldn't knock it with your sarcasm though, because the talent we have would give any non D1 program in this state a run for their money. Actually i guess we will find out considering we play 5 different DIII/DII/NAIA schools next spring.I dont know if you are Matt Rodgers sister, mother, or what but man you sure have a love for him.I'm just a fan of the Zips and I hate seeing people dog one member of the team unfairly. Sorry, but no quarterback can succeed when he has no time in the pocket and his receivers drop the ball. Not to mention horrible play calling.as I stated above I wasn't being sarcastic about you being a part of the club baseball team. I was merely using it as a reason why you should try out for QB since you seem to think you could do so much better.Well it seems you are in the minority as most anyone who knows a thing about football will tell you that Rodgers cant handle it.If my NCAA eligibility wasn't used up I probably would try to walk on at QB, i personally think i do have a better arm than the guy.

  21. Baller4Life, you may be one of the only people on here that know what they are talking about.

  23. Dont know if any of you saw Friday night's Jimmy Kimmel Live show (i doubt it) but LeBron, Dru Joyce Sr., and Willie McGee were on.Take a peek:Link
  24. That's a great idea, no way am i going to the Barley House though. I say the OBC or cleats in Fairlawn (pretty big place, a friendly to Zips fans owner). Any other suggestions?(btw Cleats has these really awesome souvenir glasses right now. They are 3 bucks and you get a beer of your choice in a Pro Football Hall of Fame glass that has a hall of famer on it with his career stats/accomplishments. They are pretty sweet, i got a Barry Sanders one yesterday.)
