Just letting everyone out there with a facebook account know about the new Akron Football Application. Just like the basketball one but with some other new features. It includes Trivia with leader boards, the ability to smack talk/post Zips pictures/videos on friends' walls, quizzes, a forum, and a gameday wall for each upcoming game where the two teams fans can trash talk before the game. My roommates and I had a beer pong table that was painted like the field at the Rubber Bowl.Bum, you may start to drool when I tell you this so I'll step back from my computer to type the remaining sentences. I have in my possession a piece of the first artificial surface ever installed at the RB. I knew one of the workers who was installing the surface and he and all the other installers helped themselves to large quantities of the material. Wonder how much of that behavior will occur at the new stadium? I use my piece to cover a shelf in my office, but it would make a neat game surface.That WOULD make the greatest beer pong table surface of all time. Plus it would discourage bouncing and that's always good in my book.

...does anyone know the type of wood that the JAR has for it's floor? I am creating the god of all beer pong tables and im gonna go all out and i want to make it a recreation of the Zips home floor. I just would like to know what i could compare that could be close enough or even get the exact same if possible. I'm hoping i can pull this off, hopefully someone out there has the answer to my question. Oh yeah and dont worry I will post pics of the progress and finished table. (and im sure youll see it at the Rubber Bowl this fall as well)

i say if they are good enough, id take anyone. You can get people to get on the same page as the program, you can't get people to magically run 4.4 40's and have insane arm strength.I choose winning over morals or character. And i understand the problem with splitting the locker room and being a problem.

ya know, PETA sucks, it really does. But I have to say I'm glad Can't is getting a hard time about this. I pick the lesser of two evils in this case. I mean would you rather support an institution (Can't State) that is Anti-Troops and therefore Anti-American, or support some crazies that have hard ons for animals? I mean it's pretty simple, I choose the latter because I just hate Can't WAYY too much to support them in ANYTHING.

Yeah...I started the day those webcams went up....i have the third camera as well but they took that offline a week or so ago, not sure why. I do know that it wouldn't work every other day it seemed.

I don't know if anyone else is doing this as well but I've been taking screenshots of the stadium construction webcams every work day (somethings every other) since construction began. You can really start to see some progress, it's pretty exciting. But I'll update these and post them for you guys every month or so. If anyone from the Big Ten came to the JAR today, i GUARANTEE YOU it would sell out. That was a few years back, that means nothing. The Zips are becoming more of a "household name" and any bigtime opponent would bring many out to the JAR, certainly more than any MAC west team. You would have to be a fool to think it wouldn't be a big event.

Your post is uncalled for. I know several police officers on the APD and the thought that someone was firing at them with deadly force, and assumed intent to kill, sends shivers up my spine. The fact that the suspect was an Akron athlete deeply saddens me. I'm a former letterman and the allegation that any Akron athlete would do this is horrible news. There is no need to make light of it with a comment about team speed. This just isn't funny on any level!stop being a baby, no one was hurt and it was funny
