I agree, student athletes wearing a suit and tie and looking classy? There is nothing wrong with that. It's a heck of a lot better than the mugshots we always see of Can't athletes in the papers.

I saw that yesterday. It was definitely easy to see that it was the JAR. Too bad they were showing footage of Bejing and then showed footage at the JAR. It was probably confusing for many people watching if they saw the Akron logo or Zippy and now they most likely think we play in China.

You must have not had your volume turned up. They mentioned that Hixon was from Akron multiple times. Also they talked something about his hometown and about his college stats.

I think you are forgetting one important fact: WE ARE NOT USC, FLORIDA, OR OHIO STATE. We have to take guys like this without making them "prove their allegiance". They aren't going to have this want and passion to play at a school they barely know about. We have no incentives for them to want to stay here or any school like us that is a dime a dozen. We have to hope it works out and be optimistic because we all know that schools like Can't State will not make them do such a thing and we all know who they would choose if it came down to playing right away and not being on a short leash or being on the edge of getting kicked out.

and if his brain has not been rewired, i dont care what JD has to do. This kid has talent, if JD has to secretly assign someone to follow this kid and keep him in check i dont care. This could be the kind of player that will give us the excitement locally and nationally to get us other bigtime players, not to mention boost ticket sales.
