  1. Now that the QB controversy of '14 is over. Can we please move on to discussing the BG game? We've got less then a week before we become top in the MAC East folks!
  2. This is the most disturbing thing I've heard in weeks. It literally made me want to throw up.
  3. The great prognosticators at Bleacher Report are calling the Zips in this one!
  4. Like the advertisement! Fantastic!! Hope it works.
  5. Perception is irrelevant. Perception (or claims) can be validated by the facts themselves/more information and more research, reason and logic. Those that cannot are illogical.
  6. To the ABJ's defense, if Melo is leaving because of "personal reasons" than it may not have been wanted to be made public.
  7. And this is where those who understand my comment earlier are
  8. +1. Even greater concensus amongst Biologists and all scientists about Evolution.
  9. More like it's time to move on.
  10. Can we please move on to the BGSU game discussion?
  11. My agenda is knowledge. Logic over illogic, reason over hyperbole. I'm willing to admit when I'm wrong, if the facts show it.
  12. I hadn't heard. Anywho. I think the Zips have learned some valuable lessons the past two weeks, and will rebound in this game. The coaching staff will get the team prepared for this game with a game plan to win. The two week bye for Bowling Green will take a hit on them, the Zips will be ready to win. Akron 31 BGSU 28
  13. I'm just a casual basketball fan, so I'm not necessarily up-to-date with the most recent developments of the Zips, but I was looking at recruiting info for the Zips and noticed under recent developments that Melo has left the team for "personal reasons". The development is dated 10/26. GoZips.com also no longer has Melo listed on the roster. Hopefully everything is okay with the young man, and I hope that there are good things in the future for the young man. He stepped into a difficult situation a couple years ago, and I think he gave us his all while he was here. Best wishes to Melo.
  14. Burden of proof is a philosophical/logical concept. There are people who have differing opinions here. Therefore; if you make a claim, you are responsible for supporting it with evidence. If you cannot, rational people should disregard it as nonsense. The conspiracy theory stuff should be disregarded, and labeled as nonsense.
  15. Wrong. I don't have the burden of proof, those accusing Bowden of playing favorites, and there being a plan to run Pohl out, do. I've already explained how a player can be cleared to play (and suited up) but not play. You apparently glossed over that explanation, or didn't care. Whatever the reason, I'm done talking about this conspiracy non-sense. This particular part of the forum has rapidly devolved into the ilk of Evolution denial, climate change denial, Illuminati New World Order plots; it's ridiculous.
  16. No. I'm thinking rationally in the absence of evidence to support the contrary.
  17. Lets also get one thing straight Keener: I don't have to explain anything. I don't have the burden of proof. You and the conspiracy theorists do. It's incredibly sad that ZN.O has devolved into this in the span of two weeks. Unbelievable.
  18. It doesn't matter. Occam's Razor applies. You're putting way too much stock into a statement that lasted less than 2 seconds, said on the spot after a question.
  19. Vanderbilt Michigan (not benched after being medically cleared...played after being medically cleared, but was clearly not okay). And has since been classified as indeed having a concussion. Massachussetts Medical Society Recommends lots of caution: Recent research on athletes under 18 years of age has shown that even when they say they are normal after exhibiting shown symptoms after an initial concussion, brain function and reflexes may not return to normal for many weeks in some athletes...Regardless of the recommendations of others, if your gut feeling tells you to bench a player, do not let anyone — players, parents, coaches, fans, or circumstances — change your mind. You are never wrong to keep a player out of a practice or game. It is the safest option. when in doubt, sit them out! You know, medical professionals getting in the way of a good conspiracy theory. I can't imagine why Bowden would want to hold a player out of a game, take the most caution as possible, after the Michigan debacle above. (note, this last comment is sarcastic).
  20. I've already gone over this, which most of the conspiracy theorists just glossed over. Concussions are a very serious injury. Pohl was never diagnozed with a concussion, it was described as a "concussion like injury"...which likely means he didn't have all the hallmark symtoms of a concussion, but something wasn't right. If that is the case, a responsible coach (Like Bowden) would take (and should take) all the necessary precaution in order for that player to get better. Everything in this non-existant Pohl saga is consistent with the re-introduction of a player who has had a significant head injury. 1. Pohl was knocked in the head on the final play of the first half in Miami. He de-dressed from that game. Came back to the field to ride the bike, and left shortly after he had come back on the field. He was gingerly from my own observations. I wasn't sure what was wrong, but clearly something WASN'T RIGHT. 2. Was not active for the Ohio game at all, which is consistent for a player who has suffered a head injury of any significance. 3. He was cleared (officially) on Wednesday before Ball State. 4. Sat on the bench (second behind Woodson) during the Ball State game (which is what sparked this BS controversy). Every part of this is consistent with the reintroduction a player who had a significant head injury. Or rather I should say the responsible reintroduction of a player with a significant head injury... This is the most rational explanation of the facts, and we should apply the principle of lex parsimoniae (aka Occam's Razor), that the simplest solution is most likely the correct one. I expected a lot more from ZN.O members, I thought we were more logical and rational than this...but apparently we're not.
  21. I've lost a lot of confidence in my GP1 stock. Lot of blowhard, but very little substance. Just who exactly would you have here over Bowden? Who exactly could do here what Bowden has done so far? (I'll go cue up the crickets).
  22. This forum is getting out of control. Lose the Pohl-Bowden talk, and lets talk about THIS game. Those of you who want to continue the conspiracy theory, go create a thread dedicated to it. You can also post about Big-Foot, UFOs, the NWO and the Illuminati while your at it.
  23. Or let them park close so they can reflect upon how much they suck.
