  1. The streak is in serious jeopardy. On the positive side...at least we get to play the last three at home?
  2. I retract my own statement.
  3. Zips make and win the MAC C. Mark my words: 2/26.
  4. Glad he's back, hopefully he's learned from whatever it is that kept him out.
  5. I know. I'm reiterating for those who somehow want to accept Abreu back for one year; that having Diggs (not convicted of any crime) will always be better than having a convicted felon whom nearly destroyed his team single handed. I'm also reiterating that we can't simply look at having AA back on the team from only a basketball standpoint. I agree with you, AA is a better True point guard than any we have on the team...however we cannot look (and should not look) at the issue simply from a basketball standpoint. . +1, well said Ada Zip. The two are not comparable.
  6. I'll take Diggs over a felon who almost completely, and single handedly, takes down his team's best chance it had to making a run in the NCAA.
  7. First welcome to ZNO second, +1. I completely agree with you. I didn't get that he was throwing anyone under the bus when I heard that quote myself, but it's just me. Dave +1. I will say, that the "picking on 19 year old athletes" becomes the cry sometimes. Yes, college kids (having just graduated myself) can be very immature and do a lot of growing up during college. But they're also not children. College students can take a lot more criticism than people think they can, and are quite capable of handling themselves and accepting responsibility.
  8. Keener I'm surprised you'd never been there before! Lockview is a favorite amongst students these days when going downtown. Their bread is made by the bakery next door to them which makes it even more wonderful. Next time you go, forget the roast beef, the grilled cheese is the thing to get there!
  9. I wouldn't be so cynical Ada Zip... of course glass house here, I'm a very cynical sports fan because I've been tortured by a decade of the Cleveland Browns and lack-luster performances by the Zips in "games that matter", that it's made me cynical...so I guess I can't say a lot.
  10. It also helps if you offer something of substance; instead of posts that don't offer anything of substance/playing victim.
  11. @UAZip0510 +1
  12. I agree with Dambrot though...one team played like they wanted to win, the other simply showed up.
  13. As soon as mononucleosis was mentioned, it was pretty much a "death sentence" for Reggie's sophomore campaign. Hope he focuses on getting better and getting ready for next season.
  14. Alright folks, we've made the NCAA after worse years. Everybody keep calm and make it to the Q.
  15. Anyone here an artist who can design it??
  16. They got the W today I noticed too, that's always good to hear. I will definitely be following for updates.
  17. Selfishness is what has done this team in on many occasions. And people want to accept Alex Abreu back...
  18. Did they!? Epic! I remember last year every time I looked at how baseball was doing, they were on the heels of some sort of losing streak. Are there any major changes to the team this year that make it more apt to compete in both inside and outside of conference play?
  19. Six weeks? When I had mono it was a solid three months before I felt "normal".
  20. I must say I'm feeling a really good season! My gut tell's me 9-3; but I honestly can't believe myself saying that. It's just not possible. So, I agree with lance. I too expect a 7 win season. Unlike years past where the OOC play was almost certainly guaranteed to be 1-3, I can see us 2-2 (even 3-1).
  21. Seem's like Bowden is working really hard to forge relationships with the local schools.
  22. I am most excited about our defense next year! Our offense on the other hand...I'm rather concerned about it. 2013 it was just enough to get by, but we need more than that. The WR's need to step it up, we need a more consistent running game and Pohl needs to step into the leadership spot. If I'm not mistaken, wasn't Hakeem Lawrence redshirted last year? Hopefully between him, DJ Jones, Connor Hundley and Jawon Chisholm we can get some healthy competition.
  23. If we play offense like we did against Buffalo...and pick up the defense (back towards how we usually play defense) we should have no problem doing just that. The problem with this Akron team is that it is HORRIBLY inconsistent.
  24. @GoZips can we sill pick up pins?
