Per the email- As a result of very limited Athletics apparel & shoe inventory available within the department, there will be no “Surplus Sale” this year at the Spring Football game on Saturday, April 29th. With the transition to NIKE back in 2021, we anticipate very little surplus moving forward as we order just enough each year vs. overage.

I have been as critical as anyone on here relative to Ali's departure and possible return, but if he wants to come back and Groce is good with it then I am good with it. My concern was that his leaving didn't demonstrate the type of commitment required of a person in Groce's program and that it certainly wasn't a great demonstration of "teamism", but if Groce sees him as having that commitment I will trust his judgment.

Great sight lines, close to the floor, can host any game or an Auto-Rama or a graduation...what's not to like? And...it's over 70 years old. Simple is good.

No question, it's a great topic, especially in the off-season. I'd love it if the City of Akron had a facility as old and simple as the Canton Civic Center. I love that place.

I'd love to have a new facility. That being said, I don't think it's in the budget for the state or the university and the citizens of Summit County have indicated they won't financially support it through a tax.

The Zips have had a consistently competitive team for nearly 2 decades. A season GA ticket for this quality program is $60, That's $60. If high quality play at that price won't get butts in the seats I don't know what will.

This now seems to be an increasingly commonly used tool for promising players to explore the NBA's interest, gauge their talent, learn some of the pro system, take part in some drills with the teams and interact with the NBA execs. I'm not concerned that he won't be back.

I don't think a guy like Groce ever anticipates a rebuild because they always confidence in their ability to recruit quality players and coach them up. If he leaves to another program it will be because of his success here and I'd prefer that to the type of consistent mediocrity that allows many coaches to overstay their welcome.

Dambrot had something in his past that took him off of the radars of many schools that may have had interest. I suspect Groce's tenure at Illinois may have some impact on his attractiveness to other programs. We've been really lucky to have each of them.
