The 3-4 Jaguars of Southern University return to the JAR Saturday night to face the Zips. The Jags have played a reasonable schedule thus far with Louisville, Tulane, Rice and Nebraska on the schedule. They are led by 6-4 junior guard Brion Wittley at 14.6 ppg and 6-7 junior forward Tyrone Lyons who leads rebounding at 4.7 rpg while scoring 14 ppg. 6-1 senior point guard Jayden Saddler scores 10.4 ppg while leading the team in assists at 4 apg.

Taevion Kinsey is as good of a player as we will see at the JAR this year. Jimmy Chitwood the point guard was a player too. The big man who was their leading rebounder and shot blocker was a non-factor. I'm a little worried about X too. Just doesn't seem to be clicking or engaged. Here's hoping he's just coming up to speed but he seems to be going backwards. I hope he's not another Dailey, a guy with high expectations that just never seemed to hit stride.
