  1. Santiago's injury has really hurt them. Hopefully, he's out at least through Saturday. He hurt himself stepping on the foot of NWAkron's favorite coach Whitford.
  2. Tyroil Smoochie-Wallace L’Carpetron Dookmarriot D’Glester Hardunkichud Ozamataz Buckshank Jackmerius Tacktheritrix
  3. Here's the obit from the PCCC/NIU game that outlines some of the struggles of Mr. Pinky's squad- https://www.beaconjournal.com/story/sports/college/basketball/2022/01/11/kent-state-fell-home-northern-illinois-tuesday/9156273002/
  4. The Zips head to the Portage County Agricultural and Animal Husbandry Arena Friday night to face the 7-8 Flushes. The game is at 8 p.m. on the CBS Sports Network (sigh). The Flushes are fresh off of a home loss to a three win NIU squad. They had a smaller crowd than the Zips. 6-1 redshirt junior guard Solon grad and Duquesne transfer Insincere Carry leads PCCC at 17.4 ppg. 6-3 redshirt junior guard Malique Jackson scores 12.1 ppg while pulling down 6.8 rpg. I’m not sure if Mr. Pinky has anyone as irritating as Jimmy Hall or Danny Pippen this season. For those attending, PCCC has shut down the concession stands due to Covid. The only available items are bottled soft drinks and water.
  5. Brimfield falls to NIU!
  6. PCCC down to 4 win NIU with 53 seconds left!
  7. You know it's an odd night when Trimble is shooting twos and Tribble makes a 3!
  8. Aziz played like a freshman tonight. That Sparks kid is going to be a good one.
  9. I like that Trimble is shooting shots other than just the 3 tonight. Opens up the game for him and makes him tougher to defend.
  10. PCCC down to NIU by 4 with 7 minutes left.
  11. Nice turnover to start. Yikes.
  12. Fortunate to still be in this one. Second half should be considerably better.
  13. I don't think the Zips have gotten the ball to the big man on the pick and roll a single time this season.
  14. I like Jacki Windon. However, she is wrong in saying these are two good basketball teams.
  15. Time for a time out and some screaming.
  16. Another...slow...start. Ugh.
  17. Crowd looks...pathetic.
  18. Wayyyyy too long in coming. I'd sure like to know how they've accomplished it and who's responsible. They deserve a pat on the back.
  19. Moving the student section to where it is now was a stroke of genius. The courtside lounge- not so much.
  20. ...and Rodgers is a free agent. The Broncos could bring on Getsy to lure Rodgers there not unlike they brought in Peyton at the end of his career.
  21. Agreed LoyalZip, but the other side of that equation is that I am not sure they've established a "go to" guy yet.
  22. ...and not the smaller faster ones! We learned or lesson on that!
  23. Not holding my breath on this one happening.
  24. I think you can remove all of the directionals and Ball State from any chance of being there at the end. Right now, OU and Toledo are at the top of the MAC, with PCCC, Akron, Buffalo a little behind, and BG and Miami not that far back. Any of those seven could beat the other on any given night and it wouldn't be an upset. I think Buffalo will eventually come around and be a factor in the standings, seedings and tournament. If I had to seed them today: 1. OU 2. Toledo 3. PCCC 4. Akron 5. Canada 6. BG 7. Miami 8. Ball State 9. EMU 10. NIU 11. WMU 12. CMU
