Well, maybe Pluto was correct in saying that a football program needs a general. Unfortunately, he failed to acknowledge Akron had hired a McClellan, Westmoreland or a Custer. The home season opens Saturday with Point Park University coming into the JAR. Point Park plays in the River States Conference and were picked in the conference coaches poll to finish 7th out of 14 teams in the conference. Point Park was 8-9 last year. They return 2 starters, 6-1 senior guard Sherrron Schifino who scored 14.5 ppg and 5-10 senior guard Jesse Calloway who scored 9.6 ppg. Schifino was named to the All-RSC Second Team in 2020-21.

I guess it depends on the definition of national television. Between the Zips often playing basketball on Tuesday nights and the MAC has gone to Tuesday night football and overlapping Saturdays, I suspect there have been some instances where the teams were on lesser platforms like EPSN3, etc.

Now they're going to merge with the Horizon League...

I think that's pretty solid. If Groce is concerned with OSU's size, I could see him go a lineup with both Freeman and Bandaogo as we saw late against WV. This is going to be a different team than we're used to without so many shooters.
