The Randolph rumor has been floating since late last week. We'll see.
I wonder if we'll see some big transfer news, or non-transfer news, at the presser on Wednesday.
No, not at all. I'm saying what I said, that the Spring game should be made such a good time that it will make you want to buy tickets to come back to see the team and duplicate the fun experience. Looks like they accomplished that in Brimfield.
I think they expected more then the $6.37 they received from the split. The attendance was disappointing.
I think I'd take the risk of hurting the brand over playing the likes of Concord, Heidelberg and Ohio Wesleyan.
I think a full off-season of work on his defense and strength would have gone a long way for Oggie. Unfortunately, he didn't get here until late August or early September as I recall.
I think Oggie's shortcomings on defense cost him time. Groce also always emphasizes how the guys practice and I suspect this did not bode well for a kid in a new country and new system. The Zips system is much more up tempo and physical when what he was likely seeing in Europe. Also, Groce's rotations tend to shrink as the season wears on and he ended up as the 10th or 11th guy in a 9 man rotation.
I believe OSU Is having one this year.
Our recent Spring games have been glorified practices. They used to be a fun Spring event with the surplus equipment sale but they've become nothing special. Last year's event in the fieldhouse was a snoozer.
I heard a story from an insider at the tip-off reception that in the pre-season opposing coaches inquired how UA was ever able to get Eric. The same person conceded they'd be very lucky if they were able to keep him over the long term.
