  1. Kids with a little edge and attitude.
  2. Naaaah, it's not a Tuesday night.
  3. That would be the first fire we saw all year.
  4. Now I know what it's like to be a Radford fan.
  5. Ugly way to end the season. Further proof that the Zips were the best regular season team in a bad conference.
  6. One lefty in particular. I'm positioning for front row seats!
  7. I'm more than happy to see some seating surrendered at the JAR to improve the facility. Other than the Kent game, they don't fill the seats they have and an improvement to the facility may result in a jump in attendance but it would be short lived. My design strategy would be that no seat should be at a distance greater than a male cheerleader can throw a Gionino's t-shirt or a Taylor Made Jewelry mini-basketball.
  8. Kwan has no issue with his effort. He's had some off games on offense where his shot's not falling or the defense has taken away his looks, but look how KD has dealt with him in those games- he's kept him in. He does that because he knows Kwan helps in other ways (even when he's not scoring) and that he'll put forth an effort. I think he's really grown up this year, cutting out the occasional sulking and getting down on himself too much when things aren't going well and while I've occasionally questioned his shot selection, I'd never question his effort. In a world where brashness and not graduating are the norm in college basketball, I'll take Kwan's consistent effort and degree(s).
  9. Exxxxaaaaccccccttttlllllyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!! Somebody's ox is getting gored either way.
  10. Only if you can arrange for me to see it live and in person (on your dime).
  11. In my season ticket holder time, I started with upstairs reserved with 2 seats for $200 per. I shared them and went to half the games. Roughly spent $200 for 2 seats to 7 or 8 games. I then moved down to a lower corner, and spent roughly $400 for the same thing with a better view. In neither of these did I get anything special from the school and have one purple Peters t-shirt from my time in those seats. This year, I decided buying two $60 GA seats was the way to. I wish I'd have saved my money earlier. I go into every game, climb my old self up the bleachers all of the way to the top, settle into my seats with a wall behind me and enjoy the game. I miss the lovely chair arms, but the hard plastic seats are no different to my keester than a wood bleacher. Would I like to be downstairs, sure, but not at the premium they get for the seats and the sight lines from upstairs are just fine. At this juncture, the citizens are never going to contribute to a new arena. Work with the box that's there. Get rid of that awful track, ditch those horrible blue plastic chairs that shake every time someone goes down the aisle, add some more decent seats, give me some reason to want to improve my seats, and move on.
  12. I'm jealous of where that program has gone since they were at the JAR. They were plenty solid then and very similar to UA quality-wise, but they've built on that to where they are now (a step above the Zips).
  13. In my day, we'd send off smoke signals to the teams a county over and challenge them to a basketball contest.
  14. It wasn't all that long ago we had something going with MTSU.
  15. East there L, it was a joke!
  16. Three games in three nights shouldn't be a problem for college players. Playing in that setting, I'm not sure that fewer games are any great benefit and the sample size is way too small to reach any strong conclusions. In the end, there's no perfect answer. The tournament winner getting the NCAA bid rewards the hot team, maybe the best team to go because they are peaking. The regular season winner would send the team with the more impressive body of work.
  17. That's the way to get something like that done- a Twitter post. If that fails, they should give Craigslist a shot.
  18. Looked at the UTA roster and stats. Bigs are a 7-1 guy, two 6-9's and two 6-8's. Leading scorer is Sun Belt Conference POY 6-9 junior forward Kevin Hervey, averaging 17.2 ppg and 8.6 rpg. Shoots quite a few threes, a bag man with range similar to Kwan. They were 13-0 at home this year. Averaged 78.1 points per game, gave up 69.6.
  19. Just to be the contrarian, a run by any MAC team would be good for the MAC. That's the kind of visibility a conference needs to be on the radar for at large berths.
  20. I think they should implement the old NBA 3 to make 2 free throw rule!
  21. Nice accomplishment for the kids and KD.
  22. I thought they were done when they went down 6.
  23. Our Zips showed some heart tonight! Nice job Zips.
