I generally sit in the top row of the GA seats with my back to the wall. No matter how few people are there, I'm never getting a t-shirt! I did, however, get my first bag of Shearer's chips last night! Anyone know what the details are on claiming our free Pizza Fire? I thought we'd never see that! My buddy's kid made the shots.

I guess I don't see a guy who based upon his success moved on to the Big 10 as a "leftover." It's not like they hired Louis Orr, Billy Taylor or John Cooper.

That's an aspect many have overlooked. Crowds have already been pathetic and many of the most faithful walked out of the JAR last night with a look like they'd been kicked in the nuts.

Have at it lilroodude!

...and I hope never to again see one of our big men with the ball in his hands 20 feet from the basket. That's nearly as ugly as watching Big Dog play perimeter defense.

I think there was a lack of effort and bad attitude in the first half. The first half effort issue was magnified by the obvious effort given in the second half. The attitude was shown by body language and expressions in the heat of the first half slaughter. All that being said, I'm tired of hearing about how much better they are in the second half. It's much easier to be better after the other team knows the game is over.

Quote from the Beacon article this morning concerns me- “I thought our effort and attitude were atrocious,” Zips coach John Groce said. Quite simply, this team on most nights for the rest of the season will play teams with more talent. That's the reality of the situation in which the program was placed by Dambrot's departure. As such, they can't ever afford bad attitudes and efforts in any game as out-hustling and out-efforting the other team is their only chance in many games.

6 or 7 minutes into the second half a Buffalo guard went down the middle of the lane for an uncontested dunk. Groce called timeout and as he steamed out onto the floor he spun around, pointed his the glasses in his hand at Sayles and emphatically asked "what the f*** is wrong with you?" Pretty much the highlight of the night and a summary of what I just saw. Buffalo is very good, So many athletic interchangeable parts. Cotton should get a start Saturday. Parrish can get comfy on the bench for a while.

Cornhole??

Groce is trying all kinds of lineups to get them going.

Utomi is running the sideline under the direction of a trainer like maybe he has a leg issue going on

Well, at least in the Taekwondo is entertaining. LeBron really blew it by not showing up for this.

They can burn the tape of that abominable half.

We have the rec center guy and 3 freshmen in now.

The Zips are leaving no aspect out of this $hi+ show.

Awful start. Even the clocks are giving up.

I can't imagine him passing up the taekwondo demonstration.

We get a taekwondo demonstration at half tonight. I can barely contain myself.

Ugh, wish I could say I was surprised. He was probably recovering from that trip to Toledo. Oh, wait, that article was written by Beacon Staff.

Looks like he's getting a lot of playing time- 18 minutes a game.

He's just such an angry 4 year old that I loved yelling at him. He's awfully successful however.

I must admit that I miss screaming at Bobby Hurley.

The 9-5 Buffalo Bulls (going into the 1/6 Ball St. game) come into the JAR Tuesday night to open up the Zips’ home MAC season. The Bulls opened the MAC season by beating Toledo 104-94 at home. Their record is a little deceiving as they’ve had close losses to Syracuse, Cincinnati and Rhode Island. 6 foot Missouri transfer senior guard Wes Clark and 6-3 junior guard C.J. Massinburg lead the Bulls scoring at 21 ppg. Massinburg also leads rebounding at 7.9 ppg. Buffalo was voted as the top team in the East in the MAC pre-season poll, receiving 24 of the 30 first place votes. Massinburg and junior Nick Persons were named to the pre-season All- MAC East squad.

Did we go from awful against dribble penetration and good against the perimeter under KD to good against dribble penetration and awful on the perimeter with Groce? LOL!

I hope I am wrong Captain! Still early.
