  1. Agreed that it is ridiculous for the women to have a 30 second clock while the men have 35. How about we have no shot clock or backcourt violations and make it like the AIAW women's basketball of my youth where they'd run a full court four corner offense to kill the clock. LOL. I have no problem with the proposed changes.
  2. OK, we have a great looking floor. How about we reconfigure the seating so that you can see the full floor from all of the seats?
  3. Several sources have Geno Ford on the short list of candidates for the Crestwood High School GIrls JV Head Coaching job.
  4. I don't like Bobby, but I really like hurling insults at him. They have such talent that they will be back in the mix next year, unless they hire someone awful.
  5. Malcolm sees the writing on the wall with potentially 3 point guards ahead of him, all of whom are in his class or younger. He'll help somewhere, but he's not well suited for top D1 play with his shooting deficiencies. I wish the kid well.
  6. From the team's response to his mystery injury, it seems like he was battling whatever it was most of the year which may have limited him. I think he'll be a loss, buy not a major one.
  7. Good luck to the kid. Hope for his sake he is making the right decision. As for Noah, let's just hope the rumors are just that.
  8. Maybe, just maybe, Shaka is one of the rare few who likes stability and is happy where he is. Unlikely, but possible. Certainly, Marquette made no sense as that's essentially a lateral move at this point. Coaches who do well there move on to a major program, and Shaka can make that jump without a stop like that. Texas certainly makes more sense.
  9. There are any number of reasons Dambrot has not moved on, including his hometown connection, age and the CMU incident. In any event, those have all conspired for our benefit as Zips fans. Without them, I think he'd have been gone long ago, or maybe not even ended up here.
  10. I'd love to see him stay. He's one of those guys you love to hate, like Bobby Knight, Billy Martin, etc.
  11. We can agree to disagree, but in any event, I think Bradley is on the hook for Ford's debt.
  12. I would hope that Ford had an indemnification clause in his Bradley contract putting Bradley on the hook for those funds. If not, he has a malpractice claim against his lawyer. I never quite got that move. I think Bradley's last god team had Hersey Hawkins on it! Hurley is not long for the MAC. With the team he has coming back, he might be wise to sit tight if the right offer does not come, but that's pretty rare.
  13. Last question: Do you think the results of this survey will make any difference? Answer: Highly Unlikely
  14. At least Iowa State an Baylor were nice enough to lose early to remove the suspense of my bracket being possibly successful.
  15. I don't know the situation well enough to be on either side of the AD discussion at this point, but my question is, comparing him to the ADs at similarly situated Ohio public colleges (Ohio U, Miami, BG, Toledo, Ken+, CSU, YSU), what is he not doing that they are doing? I don't see our programs lagging behind those.
  16. Yes, it seems like Bowden has been searching for Pohl's replacement for some time, but no one has stepped up. I think this is the year he gets displaced.
  17. That's because he's our SECRET weapon!
  18. I don't even need to see a Virginia. I'd be happy with teams we previously played like Creighton or Rhode Island, rather than teams like Coppin State. I don't expect Big 10 and ACC teams to rush to play UA, but quality mid-majors should be an option.
  19. Congrats to you and your son. Your son got pressed into a much greater role than anyone anticipated due to unforeseen circumstances and performed admirably. I look forward to watching him continue to develop over the next two years.
  20. I sure wish Mike Brown would have learned from Popovich like Budenholzer! There's always some push back from sports traditionalists to things like this, not unlike baseball with the sabermetrics movement. In time though, people start to see some value to it.
  21. It would be nice to have an arena where you could see the full floor from every seat or not have to look through a rail or piece of glass. The community is obviously not interested in funding an arena. Companies may be just as reluctant, figuring that if the community is not interested, they don't want to foot the bill. I'd love a new arena, but a refurb is the best we may get.
  22. Agreed. Time to work back in the gold. Way too much drab gray. My God, I am commenting on colors. The season is obviously over.
  23. Thanks for setting it up!
  24. I don't disagree, he is a whiney annoying little troll. My point was that we would think he was great if he was ours.
